    Alternative to Emblem glue?

DO NOT USE SUPER GLUE!! Use double sided tape. That's pretty much what everyone uses.

    Clear Bra & Hail Dents

Agreed with above. And in fact clear bra can work backwards in dents. I have seen "dents" in the paint, clear bra removed, they go and it turned out in the bra.

Great post Mike!!! Love those hybrid pads.

How do you guys 'up north' countermeasure the 'slow time'?

I don't see a change in volume, more a change in jobs. Winter months yield interior jobs and rarely polishing, summer is opposite. All polishing, rare interior. I really don't see how to be mobile year round in my city. We have snow 6 months and are well below freezing the entire time. In...

    Wet Sanding Wheels.

That is correct. Are they aftermarket? If the cloth turns black, they are bare aluminum. Sanding and polishing is a ton of work. I recommend testing a spot first and getting a method down before full scale. Try sanding 400 grit 800 grit 1000 grit Then polish with polishing block (black I...

got a customer that im unsure about.

Id also like to point out, he cannot post you are a scam or post anything like that just because you won't work for free. It's called libel, if he MAKES up something or calls you a scammer to mess up your reputation or drive business away, you can actually press charges and receive compensation...

Messed up wet sanding, please help

It will probably be 2-3 years before that exposed base coat starts to oxidize bad and fails without sealant. With sealant, well much longer if something is always applied. If I was in your shoes, seal it and leave it until you start to go crazy. My MB bumper was resprayed between factory and...

Messed up wet sanding, please help

Also to add, get the PE14. 3403 is good, but can't keep up with the PE14. If you are going to spend some decent money on a polisher, get one that will last. Mine is great!

Messed up wet sanding, please help

A blend is basically where they will sand down and paint that spot blending in the base and clear coats, rather than doing the entire door. Any good reputable body shop (I prefer custom shops - more skilled painters) will do it no problem for a few hundred!

Messed up wet sanding, please help

The car is 100% safe from rust as it stands. There is no metal exposed so just seal it and don't worry. On the cheap you can get a blend done and improve it 90% (be a soft line barely visible) for cheap. With regards to sanding, I feel it is something too readily available to inexperienced...

wet sand single stage paint (orange peel)

Was it baked or not?? That will really affect how the paint will sand and how it will finish. For baked. Personally. I start 1200 with block. Then machine 2000, then 5000 on DA sander. Wool and rotary, then polishing pad with finishing polish, then black pad finishing polish on DA, then seal...

I've manage to put swirls in by machine.

You are going to need a very fine finishing polish, polishing pad, and a set of the cleanest, softest towels you can find. Pics will really help! Try Menzerna SF4500, black wax pad, plush gold towels. This will help you in the right direction. Sounds like soft paint!
