    Menzerna PG1000

I'm surprised it is still being sold. It's old school stuff. There's a bunch of new compounds on the market that are leaps and bounds ahead of yesterday.

Safe tar removal from vinyl stripes

Depend on the type of vinyl. I have never seen that happen. Salt and sun in way harder on automotive/factory vinyl than solvent. Also depends on the solvent you use. Methyl Hydrate melts paint, but this won't.

Safe tar removal from vinyl stripes

Aero max 900. It's a solvent based silicone remover. Aerosol on and wipe off. It's what I use to decon matte finish cars and remove tar from everything. I think is around $20 a can. You can find it at a body shop supply store.

Did you try with a more aggressive pad or MF? PG is an old old old formula. Very gritty and dusty.

Safe tar removal from vinyl stripes

AM900 or most silicone removers are good. Melts away everything no harm to vinyl.

You could simply add a dab, let it cure and work it down. If you don't feel comfortable with sanding, I would get it redone...
