    2013 Mustang California - CQUK/Classic Combo

It's something not new, but not well known to do, either. I actually was inspired to do this from another CQF Installer, who has been laying them this way for quite a while. Without going into too much detail, here's the basics of why: CQUK does not contain any Ti02, but more pure Si02 than...

    2013 Mustang California - CQUK/Classic Combo

We recently worked on this beautiful 2013 Mustang California. The owner had the vehicle previously detailed, which left it riddled with swirls and rotary holograms. Being an overall large vehicle enthusiast, the owner was looking to have at least 80% of the defects removed from the vehicle...

    Rupes iBrid Status

I'll have to give them a call. I should note that it does with better with the 12mm and 2'' pads than with the 3mm, but still not great Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

Shroud off. At first I thought it was my own operational error, but even with varying my technique, I can't get pads to spin. That's when I went deeper into trying other polishes. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Rupes iBrid Status

Was there ever a resolution for this? I noticed the same thing. With the rotary adapter, it works fine. Throw on the 3mm or 12mm, and I can barely touch the paint and it's almost stopping. That's trying with a variety of polishes (Included RUPES polishes, Sonax 4/6, CarPro Reflect, FG400, etc)

1985 Ferrari 308GTS Rosso Corsa correction and CQUK with video

Incredible video, and great work as well! SS paint makes a heck of a mess, but it's so rewarding to work on. Loved it! :xyxthumbs:

New CG "Clean Slate" wax/sealant stripping soap

My exact point from my post - so I agree! I highly doubt they came out with a shampoo that has such a high pH. Who knows, though. Still doesn't change the fact I won't be using it. Like I said before, if anyone does, I'd be interested to hear the results!

New CG "Clean Slate" wax/sealant stripping soap

I'm not convinced it would strip any wax or sealant that still has lots of life left in it. However, both their site and YouTube description don't claim to remove just any sealant or wax. There is plenty of mention on 'old wax' and 'old protection' terminology used which gives me the...

Topping a Coating with a Sealant

Lol I think at some point we all realize we read way too much on products, comparisons, reviews, etc., and end up becoming so indecisive that the enthusiasm fades away. Just go for what you want OP and experiment. Try things out. That's half the fun sometimes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Topping a Coating with a Sealant

Very well put, and amplifies what I had previously addressed - all coatings are unique and should be treated accordingly. With my experience with various coatings, experimentation, etc, I find that utilizing a compatible product will only assist the underlying coating in delivering it's...

Topping a Coating with a Sealant

Coatings are by no means new, but there have been great advancements with them over the past couple of years. It's been said already - but a manufacturer will state whether it is advisable to top a coating; if it's the case, it will most likely be one of their products, which I see no issue...

    Advice for first coating?

Personally, I've used the CQuartz, Gtechniq, and Optimum coatings (amongst others) For what it's worth, there's a reason I'm now primarily using the CarPro line. Essence before CQUARTZ is absolutely fantastic. As others have mentioned, there is a learning curve to it, but if you take your time...

Any interior cleaner does not require rinse?

CarPro Inside is great. Or try einzett 1Z Cockpit Premium. Those are my go-to products! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Topping a Coating with a Sealant

Depends on the coating. As others have mentioned, it's actually recommended to top CQUARTZ with Reload after curing. I'd stick to manufacture recommendations as they'll know best what works and what doesn't with their specific products. Nothing against those here who have experience with...

    Chevy Shortbox - CQuartz Ceramic

Thanks everyone! Besides cropping, none of those photos have been edited. To those wondering what I had used... Unfortunately my G21, Flex, etc was out at the time; I was limited with what I had to work with, but as we all know, sometimes it's more than just the products used. Here is a...

    Chevy Shortbox - CQuartz Ceramic

Thank-you! I wish I had more time to work with it to really get the clarity to ~95%, but overall I was still pleased with the work based off of the time invested.

    Chevy Shortbox - CQuartz Ceramic

Fixed - Thanks for the heads up! Time will tell - if anything, I hope that the other company who performed the initial procedure may learn from this experience & strengthen their employee(s) skill-set and knowledge to prevent this from happening again, & have more happy customers for the future.

Fantastic work, OP! Those lenses were BAD before you got there - and you made them TONS better. :xyxthumbs:

    Chevy Shortbox - CQuartz Ceramic

A good story of a recent job I finished! A customer contacted me regarding his brand new Chevy shortbox. Being an elderly gentleman, he was looking for a service that would provide him with easy maintenance and swirl resistance. I went to the initial pickup of the vehicle right off the lot...
