86 Vette Black....from trashed to treasure! Major transformation

I don't post here often, but I'm always going through the show and shine forum. I think this detail job deserves the BEST turn-around that I have seen on Autogeek. EXCELLENT work. Jason

    2001 Porsche 996 Twin Turbo (56k Warning)

mmmm...rusty. I hate when the rotor's rust after a wash...I cringe when I think the first time I hit the brakes, it's going all over the wheels. Good Job on the detail! Jason

1st time polishing paint. What do you think?

It's a N/A MR2. You can tell by the engine lid (the turbo's have raised slots). I just got my 93 Hardtop in, and just waiting for my ATS 2.2L Stroker to come in. Nice to see another M3/MR2 owner here. Jason

    M3, Gs430, Gsxr-1000, Z4

Added another coat of 3M show car paste wax. This paint is popping now! (It was too dark to take more photos). On another not, my new Rotary will be coming in next week, and I have a few "nice" cars on the list to detail. I'm excited! Jason

Thanks! Thanks guys for all the compliments! Surfer, I'd be very amazed to find a car that could hang with me. I was talking to a guy with an 1100 whp twin turbo Viper and he said he can pull non boosted 1000's, but I would probably beat him on my pump gas tune (low boost, 5 psi). It's...

The bike's paintjob was a few grand, so I keep up with it every wash . .

Here are some photos of what occupies a majority of my time! :p All I use for polish and waxes are the 3M products. Foam pad glaze for dark cars on the M3, Finesse-it II on the bike, and 3M Show Car Paste Wax for everything else. Enjoy!!

    Best Rotary

See, I had looked at that edge adapter kit, but it didn't show the Hitachi as an option, and at the bottom of the hitachi page, it doesn't show a Edge2k kit as an option. If you are POSITIVE that it will work, I will order the hitachi and edge adapter. Thank you so much for your help! Jason

    Best Rotary

Ok, so I'll probably get the Hitachi from Autogeek, but is there an Edge 2000 adapter kit available for the Hitachi? I still have my E2k pad kit (with the PC adapter which won't get used anymore) so I want to be able to use it, and I'm a big fan of the Edge pads. Thanks in advance! Jason

    Best Rotary

Well, before I go off spending money without asking again, which is the best? I have (at least) 3 years experience with a very nice rotary, so there is no question about my comfort level with a rotary on my cars. I just would like to know which one is recommended by users on this board. I was...

    PC 7336SP - Very Unimpressed

Pics Well, here are some mid-detailing pics, and a few pics with the Lexus I took yesterday. Also, I threw in a pic of my drag/show bike which I also take care of, but it's got a lot of chrome. I don't think I have washed it since this pic was taken in August, but I do wipe down the paint and...

    PC 7336SP - Very Unimpressed

The car is in the garage until Friday when I can vacuum, do the leather interior, exhaust tips, and possibly pull of the wheels to clean the inside. It's a competition package, so it has the BBS style wheels. I can reach through the spokes if I'm careful, but it gets painful after a while...

    PC 7336SP - Very Unimpressed

It's nice that I f'd up, and not Porter Cable who is apparently god-like and incapable of manufacturing a bad unit. It was a brand new unit, I didn't even open up the box until I was ready to use it on the car. Maybe I ran the unit too long, maybe I have bad luck. In any case, it is of no...

    PC 7336SP - Very Unimpressed

I never said the PC didn't remove any swirls, but the time that it took was not something that I need to deal with. If you have read above, I have rotary experience, in fact, that is what I learned to machine polish with, but it was borrowed from a friend and he wanted it back, which is why I...

    PC 7336SP - Very Unimpressed

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I am a weekend detailer, but in anything, I guess I use more common sense than others when I use equipment, especially when people repeatedly warn you not to keep it in one spot, don't turn the speed up too much, etc. I don't think the time that I spent...
