Thank you AutoGeek for recommending Collinite 845!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Hyundai. I have a Veloster and love it. My car is white, too. I use Duragloss products and love how easy they are to work with. They last a long time and are very reasonably priced. I tried 845 last summer on a few vehicles but so far haven't put it...

    Helping cleaning this material?

Obviously, Mike is the true expert but... maybe try Folex and then 303. Folex is cheap (Lowes\Home Depot), mild, and works on lots of fabric issues. 303 is just great for interiors.

After Polish, best advice for my bad habits?

I'd recommend the Duragloss line. Their stuff is so easy to work with and it lasts a long time for us busy guys. It's very easy to get back in the swing of things even after a couple of weeks of no attention to the finish.

    washer fluid question

True, but sometimes you just gotta wash.

    My first time

Welcome to the forum. I have a white car, too, and I love the DG product line. I've used 845 but now use DG because I think it's easier to work with and lasts a long time. My only concern is with the time between your different applications. Did it sit in a garage for a few days or did you drive...

    Black paint

Black paint is challenging to keep up with but it is also probably the best looking when it is shined up. If the car is new then you can coat it with something that will negate most any "faults" in the factory paint. Tell Honda dealer to do nothing to prep your new vehicle. My opinion is that...

    Are detailing products light sensitive?

Took the words right out of my mouth. +100^^^^^^ Some products are light sensitive and will come in a non-clear container. Pretty simple, actually. I bet you can find non-clear bottles so you don't have to change your procedures.

    Playing with names

What's number 3 cause I'm afraid I'm not really feeling either one. Don't care for Serenity. Sounds like old people\death\dependsish. What are you Triumphant about? Sorry to be negative but you asked.

    In need for some help/support.

Welcome to the forum. Seems you have some talent in design and other things beside detailing. Nice job. I like your logo and the Facebook page is a great start. Try not to spend too much time marketing and work on getting jobs because word of mouth is your best marketing tool. Good luck!

    Please help me understand preparation

Don't leave out the claying step in all of this. A strip wash, of any kind, should be followed by clay before sealant or LSP, in my opinion.

    washer fluid question

I use what Dave (above) suggested. Works great. My car is white and I get minimal evidence that I washed. I love how the DG beads up.

    Wheel soap

Wheels still follow the rule of least aggressive that will get the job done. Don't get too "harsh".

    Thoughts on dealership protection packages.

Huge rip off. Usually not as well done as if you did it yourself. Best case scenario is to take the new vehicle off the truck and deliver to you. No wash. No "package" applied. Nothing that gives them a chance to screw up your vehicle.

    Best forms of Advertising?

Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get, and it's free. Make clients happy and encourage them to tell their family and friends.

    Beginner: What to buy?

I got some great advice from BobbyG last year. He posted about Duragloss products. I tried several things before DG so I did learn a little variety. I gotta tell ya, DG is awesome! Their stuff is very reasonably priced. It's easy to work with in sun and shade. And the results are as good as the...

    Hand Held Pump Foam gun

Thanks for posting Tapp1. Pretty cool gizmo for us poor folks. Even though I do understand that it's all about whatever you're mixing up in the bottle. Why did you post the video twice? And it 1:50. If it were 50:1 you'd never get the suds rinsed off. lol
