Harbor Freight DA Polisher - New

Can't even get these DA's right now where I live. They can't keep them on the shelf. (I think it's because I live near Tuscarora Dave and he keeps buying them.) I want one.

Leaf Blower - a few other uses

I want to get one so keep giving uses. And we can edit the title to read, "Leaf Blower - a few other reasons to tell the wife why it's a great investment".

What pad size when applying wax via DA?

Yeah, basically whatever works for you. The bigger the pad, the less work you need to do. Of course, a huge pad won't fit in tight spots, so there is a balance. But, to really answer your question, it makes no difference if you use a small pad or a large one. It's all about the job and the...

3M™ Paint Defender Spray Film: Anyone has any experience with this???

Did they mention about removing it? Will it peel similar to Plastidip? Or are you stuck with it forever?

    Polishing Headlights?

By all means polish them. You won't hurt them with the DA. Always use least aggressive and get more aggressive until you get the desired result.

Meguiar's Back to Black on White Paint

Check out this thread, http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/5000-how-does-duragloss-105-compare-these-sealants-2.html. I am pretty sure all of the leading manufacturers have UV inhibitors, including Duragloss.

    New White Car

Be sure to prep it well before wax or sealant. Even though it's new it still has contaminants. And to get a white car shiny it needs to be totally free of junk so get the clay out. I use Duragloss products on my white car and I am thrilled with them. Value priced, easy to work with even in sun...

    Detail Doctor?

I think if it needs to be pushed on TV commercials, it probably isn't a very good product.

How can I get old adhesive off of my headlights?

No, not nail polish remover. That will melt something. Try baby oil. If not, then get more aggressive with cleaner polishes. Move on to compounds. If none of that works, I gotta go with TYamaha above. Sounds like a headlight restoration.

    Front protection?

That stuff has to be too good to be true. I need to look into it.

    What would you do?

Yeah, don't waste your money by handing to the dealer to do nothing, really. Opticoat, or a number of other great coatings, are not that hard to apply yourself. You will do a much better job on YOUR vehicle than the dealer would. Congrats, by the way.

Meguiar's Back to Black on White Paint

I have a white Veloster, too. (Ignore my avatar. I haven't updated it, yet.) I love my V! Anyway, try Duragloss 501. Yes, it's marine\RV polish but don't let the name fool you. I have used it, along with a few other Duragloss products, on my V with excellent results. The Duragloss product line...

Newbie with new car needs advice..

Beautiful vehicle. Congrats. Knowing what I do now, I'd go with the Duragloss product line. Very value priced, easy to work with (even in sun), and the final result is wonderful and long lasting. The fact is, we all have opinions and most of us are right. There are so many products. I recommend...

After all the heartbreak, a new best friend.

Sorry to hear about your other two dogs, Dave. But what a great new beginning for you and Colt. He's the perfect size for you, too. I wish you both many years of happy partnership. And I didn't know you were a dog whisperer. So many talents for one guy.
