Here is a good combination : Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine New Formula , M105 , M205 , Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger. I am also new in detailing .My first buffer is PC 7424XP and i got the Makita 7229 with 5.5" CCS with Flat pads.

I've got the Glare products as gift from a friend: Glare Knock Out ,Micro Finish ,Spyder and Pro Polish.Used them with my Makita 9227 and 6.5" CCS pads-leftover from my PC kit.So far (7 monts after) the car still look like you melted glass all over.(but not a wet shine)
