This thread makes my point. Look at how many different LSPs that are mentioned. IMO it's all good and again comes down to ease of application and longevity.
Dr Oldz considers AF Spirit to be one of the best and that man is the hands down authority on nuba. He IS the man. In fact he was the one that was instrumental in me trying the Auto Finesse Waxes. But again with all of that said and true, it's still comes back to the prep.
Have both AF Illusion and Spirit. Both are fantastic. AG is having a sale on AF Spirit right now and I'm thinking another -20% on Black Friday and then u have a great wax at a great price.
The R222 is probably great as I haven't tried that one but have used the regular P21s nuba and frankly it's one of the gold standards. And if Swany thinks it's good....it's probably great... he's got a bad wax addiction but knows what he's talking about. haha.
Not a sales trick and yes, some waxes look better on certain colors. But at the end of the day it's probably more about longevity & application method then one product being "better" than another. Coating vs Carnuaba - ok that's a decision you need to make. But I probably have 14-18 different...
gets back to the prep - the "wax" is the glory work but true results come from polishing the surface before u begin using your favorite LSP. #845, Crystal Seal, AF Spirit, CG 50/50, Fuzion and the list continues on and on.
As you know Nick, I've really like the new dressing but have yet to use it in conjunction with the new cleaner. Someone short changed my testing kit but that's another matter. haha. Going to give the complete combo a try in the next few weeks and report but honestly, the dressing/coating is...
:iagree: but I like using the Waverider (waffle weave) for the first wipe and the Dry Me Crazy for the second and final wipe - GREAT combination. :props:
Wouldn't it be nice it there was a "standard" scale from 0-10...Oops I believer AG and Autopia have produced such a chart. I've printed it out and it lives in my supply cabinet. Not sure that's perfect but certainly close enough.
Personally I coat my wheels with sealants since they require so much less effort and last a long long time. Check out some of the new products that are WOWA - Once the wheels are clayed and cleaned properly, (that time would be the same regards of the LSP used) no more than 15 minutes to do all...
Nice explanation Nick....since my personal vehicles are in good condition I find myself "cleansing" the paint more often than anything else. I didn't realize that hazing assisted the filling properties and I loved your little trick for removal. Thanks and as always, u da man.
