    Flex 3401 Self Centering Pad

I found an old post about priming for you, too (about using M105):

    Flex 3401 Self Centering Pad

By priming, I mean: To prepare the face of the pad. By saturation, I mean: Beyond the point that is necessary or desirable. Funny, but I am just finishing up an article about pad priming, which I should have ready to post by the weekend. In the meantime, here's a section taken from a paper...

    Flex 3401 Self Centering Pad

I agree, you are right... that's why I italicized the word "exactly". But splitting hairs, you are spot-on! :props: I always take my "theories" to the extremes. In this case, I should have taken my own advice before I blasted a post, and instead pondered what would happen if the pad was...

    Flex 3401 Self Centering Pad

Given the fact that the Flex XC 3401 VRG never rotates true, as does a rotary, having the pad exactly centered shouldn't make a whole lot of difference. So... rest easy, slap a pad on, and get to polishing! :buffing:

    Breaking Cyclo back out

I always say, who cares how great a machine is if you don't enjoy using it? If you enjoy the Cyclo, then use it! That being said... leave a little bit of dough in your pad budget for the Meguiar's D/A Microfiber Discs. They will be available soon, and I think you're the type of guy that is...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

That is correct. Don't feel too bad about ordering the non-locking unit. The power created by the 3/4" diameter stroke at 3,000 RPM is a bit intimidating, even in random rotation mode! I suspect that a lot of guys will use it at much lower speed settings. Another great thing about the...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

Here is an old thread about the Dynabrade 61379/61384: My friend Mike bought the Dynabrade Dual-Action Buffing Head: The aluminum housing measures 4-3/4” in diameter. With the backing plate removed, the innards are easy to see. When the power slide button is engaged, this...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

BY THE WAY... NONE OF THESE ATTACHMENTS CREATE A TRUE ROTARY ACTION. The motion is always offset. That being said... they are still killer attachments! These babies feature a 3/4" diameter orbit. That, my friends, is 2.5 times the stroke diameter of the Porter Cable 7424XP, the Griots 10765...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

You really can't go wrong with either one, but for sure if you can get the switchable one, GET IT! Here's the part number breakdown: 61374 Random Orbital Buffing Head (5/8"-11 female thread) 61375 Random Orbital Buffing Head (M14x2 female thread) 61379 Dual Action Buffing Head- Switchable...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

I can't believe how CHEAP they're selling these attachments. They are up to 60% LESS than everybody else! Good prices, or somebody punched in cost (a discounted cost at that) and forgot to mark their numbers up. That happened to me once, and I got a lot of my SK/Facom tools at a beyond great...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

From your link and pics, it looks like you ordered the random orbital conversion, part #61374. Dynabrade also offers a Dual Action Buffing Head. It allows you to switch between random orbital or forced rotation orbital with the push of a button, part # 61379 or #61384 Not saying you ordered...

Mike Phillips’ Future at Autogeek – SEMA Show Announcement #3

It's never easy to take an alternate path when you're used to the one you're traveling, especially if you're driving the cushiest car of the day. To leave Meguiar's, then head literally across the country and start anew, well, that takes guts. Mike has worked hard and I hope only the best...

Meg's Cleaner/Wax question that might suprise you!

Uh, yeah. Reading between the lines: "Ma'am, who has recently had access to your car?" "Ummm, my detailer has." "Can we have his number?"

    Meg's SoloCut #86

Time to fire up the random-orbital. I'm going to use a Meguiar's W8207 SoftBuff 2.0 Foam Polishing Pad. Prime the pad. Rub the PRC in with your hands. More PRC to polish with. I polished the entire area (working time approximately 1 minute). Residue shot. Wiped clean, stripped...

    Meg's SoloCut #86

Another product you should consider is Meguiar's D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream. In answer to a guy that said he wasn't seeing a high level of cutting power using this product via rotary, I posted this (a copy of the thread can be found here: Priming a Pad - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online)...

    Meg's SoloCut #86

Meguiar's M86 So1o Cut & Polish Cream has got to be THE most underrated product in the Meguiar's lineup. Although not touted for use with a random orbital or for factory paint, I have used it with a random orbital for what is likely hundreds of hours on all sorts of paint types, with great...

The Cure for M105's short working time and dusting issues

Does this have anything to do with the ill-fated supposedly shut down then re-opened then the trail went way cold then it was resurrected if for only a brief moment only to be apparently abandoned because Kevin-may-have-got-beat-up-by-the-mib so he put bags o' frozen peas atop his wounds and...

The Cure for M105's short working time and dusting issues

Here's an oldie but goodie about pad priming by PorscheGuy997. Simple, to the point: A look into Pad Priming - The Kevin Brown Method - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online Here's a recent thread about using the random orbital. In it Mike shows how to clean on the fly: D/A Buffing 101 – An...

The Cure for M105's short working time and dusting issues

I applaud your tenacity, your sticktoitiveness, your patience, your ingenuity. Not a lot of guys will try-try-try to understand how something works, or dare post a video for all to see. If you could see me now, you'd notice that the hat I was wearing? Well, I took it off... for you! Okay...
