    A situation when a non-forced rotational DA's will correct BETTER than a Flex 3401....

:wave::wave:     Yeah, right!!!!! Not easily... and not always true! My old G110 will outspin a Flex XC 3401 VRG even under a load. Not knocking a Flex or a Makita BO6040 or a Bosch 1250 DEVS or a Festool Rotex RO150FEQ. A lot has to do with...

    My Method with Megs #105

The full pop price for a 16 oz.bottle is $10. Street price is about $8. 16 ounces x 8 = 1 gallon. So... $8 x 8 bottles = $64. The full pop price for a gallon of M105 is $98.99. Street price is about $69. There you go... save $5 buying a gallon of Ultimate Compound. :props:

    My Method with Megs #105

Yes. After you've primed, apply a circle, X, or dots of product to the pad and polish! Clean the pad occasionally to remove abraded residue, reprime, and apply circle, X, or dots again. While not everyone sees the benefit or cares to try this... for me it works fantastic. This is for DEFECT...

    My Method with Megs #105

Since Autogeek is a Meguiar's distributor, I don't know if it's breaking the forum rules to link to their site. Instead, I'll just copy and paste a post from over there! Here you go: Original thread by PorscheGuy997 A look into Pad Priming - The Kevin Brown Method Hey everyone, I thought I...

    My Method with Megs #105

This rumor is NOT TRUE. The "change" occurred last year. When Meguiar's updated M105 to be D/A compatible, that was the "new and improved formula". Since I don't work for Meguiar's, I asked Jason Rose (just ten minutes ago) if there was another "update" to M105. He said, "What?! No- where did...

    My Method with Megs #105

It means that the lubricating agents used in M105 "evaporate" quickly. This does NOT happen as rapidly as people think. Instead, the abrasive particles used in M105 ATTACH to the buffing pad readily, so the assumption is that the particles have "broken down" or that the lubrication is GONE...

Product for Polishing and Sealing Stainless Steel?

A while back, I had to do a pretty heavy-duty mask job on a car. I decided to polish the already installed stainless-steel trim. The paint job was top-notch, so I had to be sure to protect it! Of course, you know I had to use M105 Ultra Cut Compound! I applied it via my little Metabo SXE400...

Is Surbuff pads usable with rotary?

Re: Are Surbuf pads usable with rotary? Don't know why I didn't just copy and paste this form the other forum. Played around a bit with it on a rotary, but not a tremendous amount. The problem I ran into was what you might expect- the pad packed full of abrasive as the lube dried up. If you...

Is Surbuff pads usable with rotary?

Perhaps Flash was pointing out some info on another site and chose not to list the link? There are a couple posts you can find via Google by typing in "Surbuf rotary?". There is a post on the db forum you'll see show up, post 12. Flash is a well respected member of many detailing...

YOU WIN!:wave::wave: "Um, that woulda' been like fun on those two school buses I just did?" :props: Kidding. No secrets here. Just won't have time for pics and writing for a bit. If going around twice or newspaper or squeegees or a particular brand of cleaner does the job... do that...

    Polishings pads stained by M06

Ah, yes. Cleaning waxes, sealants, and polymers from foam pads can be difficult. This class of products has serious staying power, and can repel water and detergents that use water to suspend or carry the cleaning ingredients. You'll be wise to agitate the pad with a fingernail cleaning...

Re: Bought a DeWALT dual action sander/polisher! Help... RIGHT ON!!! I still have mine apart from when I took the pics in the MOL thread. I will also leave out the white ring... to juice 'er up, so to speak. Way to be creative !! :props:

    Is the Dewalt 443 ok?

To clarify my response to this: Does it spin as freely? Depends upon the machines being compared. Some machines allow the backing plate to spin rather easily, while others are a bit tighter. Even within the same part number this can occur. Will it generate the same amount of rotation...

    Is the Dewalt 443 ok?

Thanks. Yes, I own two, and sold maybe a hundred of them and the earlier Black and Decker version (6121) combined. Not generally. The smaller 3/16" diameter stroke limits it compared to the 5/16" diameter stroke commonly used in the Meguiar's G-series and Porter Cable units. None more...

    Is the Dewalt 443 ok?

Oh, cool. You're on the ball! Just outfit the machine with thin pads that aren't super-cushiony. The backing plate motion will more accurately transfer through a thin, somewhat stiff pad. "Stiff" does't necessarily mean the pad will scour... the foam used to make the Meg's burgundy pad is a...

    Old Meguiar's compounds

14 IS GREAT. I used MASS amounts of it back in the day. It excelled for removing overspray by hand, and was especially KILLER for doing so on rubber and textured plastic trim. It was my favorite for removing water spots and crud from GLASS. Buffed a Porsche 959 with it... Buffed a BMW M1...
