I had a full detail done about a year ago and sealant applied. It is overdue for another detail as the surface is rough and has some small scratches. The wet wax will hopefully keep things from getting worse until the next detail.

I have some moderate fingernail scratches in the recess under the door handles. Was thinking of using Meguiars Ultimate Compound. Do I need to buy the expensive foam finger pockets or can a just a MF cloth? Are finger pockets useful for anything else? Thanks for any advice.

Will Prima Wax or similar product help to prolong the need to apply sealant? Is Optimum ONR No Rinse Wash & Wax a similar product? I am not a detailing enthusiast and this not a hobby for me so I don't want to use too many products unless there it is clearly worthwhile.

OK now I am starting to get it. Why not just skip the clay and just polish it? Will the buffer pick up the grit that the clay would have removed and mar the paint as well?
