Three weeks of slowly but surely getting the ST all spiffed up... then went for a drive in the desert yesterday...

2020 Explorer ST, seats are leather (black) & so are some door panels. Confusion arises because I read the leather is "painted" not dyed, this seals the leather so the usual leather cleaner/conditioner is a waste of time & it will just sit on the surface, so use regular interior plastic...

Not sure what brand I picked up at Wally World for $4.99 each, but I managed to dry an entire car with one a few days ago & didn't wring it out until I was done.

Did the other three corners of the ST & the large plastic valance under the front.

Too tall, needs about 9in clearance. I haven't measured the SB Honda, but the Camaro has around 6in clearance.

Removed the right rear wheel on the Explorer ST & gave it a clean, also spiffed up the suspendies a bit. May get ambitious on Saturday & do the other three.... Forgot to get a before pic of the wheel, but I figure you already know what that looked like... Before: After: Liking the new...

ok, it's actually going to take me a frigging WEEK to get all of the spots... on one side...

WooT!! Acetone & QTips worked.... it's probably going to take me a couple of hours to get all of them. On the upside, I'm dealing with very clean paint (apart from these spots) & later it will get wax & ceramic sorcery.

Can't even remove it with a fingernail. The city has been losing their damn mind resurfacing streets for the past 18 months or so. I do have some plastic blades. Maybe I should just invoice the city for a respray :)

Doh! I'm not firing on all cylinders this week owing to Covid. I'll try that in the morning :)

Clayed 4 times, Iron remover etc. Nothing happened... Looks exactly the same.

Next time you're on an airliner, remember that they make the ignitors for turbine engines... ;)

ok pic taken, it's hidden rather than disappeared the scratch.

Used the Plastx on a couple of scratches yesterday.... gone. Or maybe it's my eyes. I'll take a pic with the phone later & have a look on the computer.

I used that stuff on some bad water spots today, easiest/best result ever.
