You should! I also have a Giant Defy 2 2009 and WOW there's a HUGE difference between those 2 bikes! My new bike is so much quicker on acceleration, my average speed, gear changing, etc...

^^ Thanks and it does, I'm 6' and 3". No it's not that expensive; it's a mid-range bike ( for the full carbon bike ). I paid 3400$ ( CAN $ ) + 130$ for the pedals. The bike's weight is 17.13lbs ... crazy! hehe
