AG wash buckets and grit guards

Below are the buckets I got a few days ago Grit Guard® Dual Bucket Washing System - CLEAR In the pic below, the guard is pushed as far down in the bucket as reasonably possible. It's difficult to see, but there's enough space under the guard for the detail brush. The guard is not resting on...

AG wash buckets and grit guards

Thanks guys. The bucket manufacturer is Leaktite. The exterior diameter of the bottom of the bucket is 10 1/4" There are three problems with the gritguard not going all the way to the bottom of the bucket: - The edges of the gritguard will compress against the sides of the bucket. This makes...

Yes, 3 parts water (distilled is best) and one part OPC. Commander Duck: that sounds like a good plan, didn't realize you were doing the Eraser prior to the OC. Let us know how it turns out!

Any favorite products for white paint

From Jason @ Deep Gloss Auto Salon: Duragloss 501 marine polish, then 1 part 601 bonding agent mixed with four parts 111 clear coat, then AquaWax. from rwight: "105 has light cleaners in it, 111 has no cleaners. 111 is also a little finicky with humidity in my experience. 501 can be used as a...

    Opti-Coat 2.0 Question

I don't have enough experience with OC yet to be sure, but I think you should be ok to do two cars with one syringe. Like other said, I'd wash with something like OPC 3:1 before the OC'ing.

Best cities in FL to live?

Agree with what was said so far. Stay away from living on the east coast Ft Lauderdale and below. Lots of older people on the west coast from Tampa down You better like heat, it's too often uncomfortably hot in Orlando for me. You should test a summer here to make sure. Lots of tourists like...

What is the best wash mitt for suds?

I like AG's natural sea sponge Large Natural Sea Sponge It gets into all the cracks and crevices and nook and crannies better than microfiber (MF) or foam. It rinses out better than MF. MF can hold abrasive materials in it's fibers that can be hard to clean out. These materials could end up...

Best detailing tools that are not made for detailing

Small natural sea sponges. They mo' better for getting into cracks and crevices because they scrunch up better than MF. Great for pulling thru ducts and tight spaces. More flexible and expand/contract better than foam and end up covering more surface area. Tougher than most foams. Holds lots of...
