EDIT: I checked the trim the next day in better light and I'd say the oxidation has improved by 80% at least. Quite a nice result for <$10.

Is is really necessary to only put the cover on a clean car and to wash it prior to putting on the cover? The Ultimate cover I'd be ordering from Bavarian Auto claims that this is not the case.

Sanding aluminum trim: Wet or Dry? I'm pretty sure it's dry, but just checking. I want to remove moderate oxidation and then polish with Mothers Mag & Aluminum.

The FB did a decent job on the molding (after two coats) but I've noticed some black drips down below the molding (it's a black car, but I'd still like to remove them).

Another option is to follow the Poli-Seal with OCW, since that contains both carnauba wax and polymer sealants--so it's a wax and a sealant together. Then compare it to a PS w/OS combo and see what you think.

Somebody please tell me why Final Finish is needed when you can buff the Polish II to look great (or Poli-Seal for that matter). What am I missing?

Some products (like Menzerna) seem as if they've been engineered more for current, harder, ceramic clear coat. Other products (like Klasse AIO, released in 1979) seem like they were designed much more with older/softer clear coats or single stage paint. A product like Optimum Finish Polish...

Forever Black worked fine for me, but it needed two coats. After the first coat nothing looked different, but it must have sunk in and provided a base for the second coat. Let's see how long it lasts.
