We are talking about a one step. I am well aware that mf in General will level paint then any foam pad. I am stating that when it comes down to the finishing down the paint with no hazing, marring, and a very high gloss level, foam bad surpass mf pads no doubt.

Well I mean if your going to spend 300 plus dollars to do some intricate and surgical buffing, you mind as well purchase the pe-14 with the extension and get some smaller pads.

It depends on how hard or soft the paint is. IMO you are not going to be able to finish down very soft paint with any type of microfiber pad with any polish or compound.

I'm on the brink of purchasing a vx 5000 steamer and I guess you would be the one to ask this question. Is the steamer able do thoroughly clean stuff grease and gunk out of carpets?

The only thing I really use on plastic chrome is flitz products. It works well but unfortunately It won't level the scratches and swirls out. You can try a very mild polish like menz sf 4000 or 4500 but he very cognitive of the fact that the material is VERY thin.

I can say that I haven't had the best of luck using hybrid pads with my flex since day one. I have noticed every time I take off a pad ,the Allen screw that locked the LC interchangeable backing plate seems to come loose. Quite aggregating. I think a simple lock washer might have done the trick...
