Wheels off detail: step by step

Thanks! That's one of the main things that caught my eye when I first saw the Jeep SRT8 way back in 05-06. I liked the black and chrome bling look with muscle car power and GTResk AWD (it was just a dream car to me back then). I saved up for 8 years and the rest is history (I do not belive in...

Wheels off detail: step by step

Yeah, I took it to a few winter drifting/rally events this winter. I have a hard time waiting for spring to race. It's racing has always been my true passion. Drag racing in -40f with a layer of ice and snow on the track (they prepped the track by spraying water on it a few days before, and...

Wheels off detail: step by step

Reinstalling the detailed wheels Steps 1. Carefully position the wheels so that studs line up with the holes in the hub and lift the wheel onto the studs (I use my toes as a shim and make small adjustments to get them on quickly and easily). 2. Hand tighten the lugs and follow up...

Wheels off detail: step by step

Cleaning and protecting the wheel wells Steps: 1. Inspect the wheel wells, suspension, drivetrain, and breaks for wear/damage. I noticed a fair amount of rust setting in on some bolts and some mild wear on the bushings and brake pads. I also noticed that the clear is peeling on 3 of 4...

Wheels off detail: step by step

Detailing the wheels while off Steps: 1. Inspect the wheels and tires. I noticed my tires were at the wear bars, the SRT engravings were missing paint, and the rotors created rust on the hub of the wheel. 2. Rinse the wheels and tires with hot water and the “clean” setting on the...

Wheels off detail: step by step

Removing the wheels Steps: 1. Use the appropriate socket on a 1/2inch drive breaker bar to “break loose” all the lug nuts before lifting (tip: put detailing/painters tape around the socket to prevent damage to the wheels). 2. Position the jack in the appropriate lift point and...

Review and How-To: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash

I used WG Uber WR for the first time last week and I was immediately impressed & blown away. Way better than ONR or UWW+. My remaining ONR and UWW+ are going to be used as water softeners in my wash buckets going forward. Finally, a RW I'm going to use regularly. The other RW's I've tried just...

    Review: CarPro Wool Wash Mitt

I found this review after reading the comments in the store section of AG, and I couldn't agree more. I love this mitt and have had mine for almost a year with zero issues (hasn't broken or gotten damaged). I still use MF mitts on my wheels... Sorry to bump an old thread.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I raced against one of these in my Jeep SRT8 just this past weekend. He pulled up next to my passenger (wife) and backfired (shot flames out the exhaust). My wife was startled (pissed more than anything) and give me the ok (she actually said "get him"). The car was wrapped up and rimmed out with...

    what are you currently watching?

Yeah, I remember the case well during my freshmen year of high school (back in AZ). I actually took an intro to law course after school because I found the case so interesting. It's still worth a watch, even knowing what's going to happen and I definitely get a different perspective now that...
