    My Lake Country Pads

Yes thank you to everyone. More pads. Makes total sense. A saturated pad will loose its cutting ability. I did my first boat the other day and it presented LOTS of challenges to me that I have to start a new thread on. Man.... I need some advice... Ill put it on the "Making money detailing...."...

    My Lake Country Pads

CJ.... Won't I be able to use these pads again? For another job? What will they be good for? I've been told they can be used until they break apart. Is it that they are too saturated at the moment? Use again as normal when they dry? Honestly asking. Rob- Route 66 Mobile Detail

    My Lake Country Pads

Hey guys its Rob (Route 66 Mobile Detail) again. I hope you have all had a great weekend. I had drill (with the Navy Reserves working on the Boeing 737) this weekend so my weekend was pretty jammed up. I have a question about my pads. So far I've detailed 2 vehicles with the white pads. (One for...

    Boat Bottom

Question about the hull. If the boat bottom is not painted, are you detailing right down to the bottom. Or is compounding, polishing and waxing left to mainly ABOVE the water line?

Patriot, I really appreciate your post. Here's why... Even though it was just a car... Being my FIRST detail made my so anxious as well. I'm sure my first boat will make me feel the same way. Once I get started I'll be fine. Wow... 550!!!! That's great. Amazing. How easy or difficult was it to...

    Engine Compartment

Engines, who's cleaning that area... Who's not? Is there some sort of liability reason people don't (wires etc...) Should this be done with any auto detail gig? I'll be honest.... I did my first gig and didn't do the engine and I'm feeling pretty bad about it.

    First detail

Thank you cardaddy. Yeah I will say for the level of detail, I did think I may have quoted a bit on the light side. Im a bit OCD so I couldnt look further from each aera without getting all the tight spots as clean as I would have expected (having a detailer come out to do MY car). For sure I...

    First detail

Exactly. It was two people. My wife and I. As for the hourly pay it isn't great but it was the first gig so..... I've been focusing soooo much time concerning with the local RV / boat rates that I was caught off guard with the auto equation. I guess I was being a little naive to think I...
