Need a STRONG OTC wheel cleaner..

Zep Industrial Purple Degreaser from lowes or home depot will take care of it, but I would use it as a last resort. You could also use wheel acid, but I don't know of any places that carry it OTC.

    Rupes Knock Off

I'd say that's a pretty fair guess. Either that or the mfg is trying to market it to Griots by doing it with their color scheme first. It's a safe bet Griots will be selling it with in the next 6-8 months.

    Favorite type of car shampoo

I was using CG wash and gloss, but I've moved to Optimum and I like it better.

    Spraying clearcoat over stickers

Have not specifically tried clear coating over stickers, but if I were going it, I would lay down a coat of adhesion promoter first. Also, if you try to go light with the clear, it will dry dull. Is this going to be a rattle can job or do you have access to automotive paint equipment and products?

    Rupes Knock Off

You could sell them for $200 a pop and double your money while charging half of what Rupes charges. Sad really, that the company that put the time and money into developing a product has it knocked off in under a year.

    Strange crud on wheels

I see it all the time. I've been into cars since I was a little kid. I worked as a tech at an Acura dealership for a few years and now I co-own a rim and wheel repair company. Most all painted wheels use the same base coat clear coat system that is used on your vehicles body. Ergo, you can use...

    Strange crud on wheels

That would be brake cleaner over flow from a tech cleaning off sticky wheel weight residue when he re-balanced your wheels. Notice the wheel weights in your picture right behind your problem area ;)

    The Turkeys have landed!!!!

Reminds me of what an Acura dealership I previously worked at used to do. Very cool that Max does that for the employees. In this day and age, you just don't see stuff like that very much anymore.

    Trailer Detailing Question

I would be very careful how far you go with polishing it. The paint on "most" trailers like that one is super thin.

    Rupes Knock Off

Hard to not support them when damn near everything sold in this country is made there. Really unfortunate how saturated the US market is with Chinese products.

    Breaking the Collinite Myth: 915

I love 915 and have yet to experience the issues people mention regarding removal. As a matter of fact, I just did a mini detail on my fathers BMW for him this afternoon and I finished it off with a coat of 915. Some people may freak out upon reading the next sentence. I applied it thinly over...

Are we talking about the one with the red plastic body? That's the only one I know of.

Fall Photoshoot of my 2003 Mustang GT Drag Car

Has the Accufab throttle body given you any problems? A lot of Honda guys used to use them with mustang flanges on custom intake manifolds for larger displacement(2.2-2.7L) 4 cylinder motors. They were nice pieces but not very reliable. It was fairly common for the shaft that the butterfly plate...

Looks really good. Any thing done to it besides the slicks in the back and skinnies in the front?

    Air Compressor PSI?

50 to 60 psi is a safe number for that. EDIT: Wait, are you asking about buying an air compressor or do you already have one and you're just looking for a nice number to set it at for blowing out interiors?

Ray's SEMA thread (UPDATED with Day 6)

Re: Ray's SEMA thread (UPDATED with Day 2) Ray, if you get a chance, could you swing by the HPD Honda Performance Development booth and snap some pictures for me? I also second the motion for paying NRE Nelson Racing Engines a visit :)

Where were you on Sept 11 2001?

I was in kindergarten. September 11th is one of the only things I can remember from when I was that young. I remember a lot of the teachers crying, and they wouldn't tell us what was going on, just that we were going home early. My parents were at an estate sale buying antique furniture because...
