If you are pushing on the clay, you are claying to hard. Just glide it over the paint. Give enough pressure so you won’t drop it, but you don’t need pounds of pressure.

That is what I use also.

I take my nozzle off and attach a small section of hose and flood the car. Then use a waffle towel or a drying towel from a company that isn't offered here.

Worked today, and will work tomorrow. Wednesday I will probably work half day and come home. My wife and kids are off all week. Thursday we will spend with my wife's brother, Friday is my birthday so who knows what we are doing whatever I choose I guess.

I wouldn't say I have a favorite. If I have a beer out I ask what is local and wheat, or what is the seasonal local beer. If I get beer in the store to bring home it's usually some local wheat. I do the mix n match 6 pack and get one of each. Now I have a Costco margarita a few nights a week.

Those towels will be good for interior and tires. If you are going to spend the time and money for everything else get a couple of good paint safe towels.

The film is Avery but that is all I know. I have some satin and matte detail spray and would use it even if it didn't fix the issue. I will ask more about it. The car is driven daily and has been in the hot sun since the scuff so that alone hasn't helped.

The GG6 is a good machine. Powerful enough to do anything you want, with a lifetime warranty. Swap out the 6" plate for a 5" plate and it is even better. And as a bonus the smaller pads are less money. As a dad myself, really it's just a car. Don't lose sleep over living life and small things...

Are you going to do this by hand, or machine? If machine a DA or Rotary? I would start with a wash, then clay. I use a DA so I would then use a bunch of test spots. Compound with a pad or two, and polish with a pad or two. See what gives you acceptable results. If by hand you have your work...

I use them, but not for washing. I set them up when I have my polisher out so the electrical cord doesn't get caught under the tire and unplug the polisher from the extension cord. Really I should have bought them sooner, they are just expensive for what they are.

Hey all, I am looking for a new interior detailer that has light cleaning ability with some protectant in it. I currently use Megs Quik interior Detailer. I am over the smell though. What is another comparable product? I was almost considering Chemical Guys Innerclean. Thanks
