    flex vs rupes

Clearly you missed the point of that comment. You guys are crapping on a research based opinion. If you don't see any value in an opinion based on research, you would surely struggle with higher education. That wasn't meant as a slam on anyone-- it was meant to illustrate that researched...

    flex vs rupes

This is just classic. All the people who relied on researching the opinions of others to purchase their machines, that they now proudly proclaim to have first hand experience with, crap on the guy who shared and clearly disclaimed the reasoning behind his research based opinion in a forum--...

    flex vs rupes

Are you seriously asserting that no one can speak intelligently on something they have not personally tried? That researching the findings of others is completely invalid? LOL. Do yourself a favor, buddy, and stay away from grad school. Obviously you shouldn't go around belligerently...

Help with DG 601 and 105...and maybe 601

Well good luck. Definitely post back with your results. I am going with the 105/601 combo on the wife's car and the collinite 476 on my truck. I am very interested to see how they compare in terms of longevity.

    flex vs rupes

As previously mentioned, this gets asked a lot so best to do a search to poll the most number of opinions. I have been debating this recently and this was my conclusion from what I read: If you are a professional detailer-- you will probably have both machines-- but the Flex 3401 in...

Help with DG 601 and 105...and maybe 601

Why do you think you need the stronger cleaning ability of the 501? Are you not doing any machine polishing before hand? I was going to top 105/601 with the Collinite 476, (I have a full size truck and don't have many opportunities to get out and wax/seal the paint) but really not sure I buy...

Help with DG 601 and 105...and maybe 601

Is there a benefit to mixing the 601/105 other than a little time saving? I also considered going with the 601/105 + Collinite on top, but wasn't sure if I would be removing the DG combo by adding the wax. I instead settled for topping the 601/105 with DG Aquawax after every wash.

    Spray on Vehicle Drying Aide

I have a full size truck and it is tough to dry the whole thing without getting some water spots. What is a good product that I can spray on during the drying phase to help keep the water spots at bay, but also not take off any of my Collinite 476? And that is the key-- obviously there are a...

Is it Flex and then everything else?

I got that same vibe and ended up going with the BOSS 15 myself-- and even that is probably more than I need for the two cars I maintain... I can't figure out what the non-professionals are doing to their paint that they feel the need to have the machine that offers the quickest paint...

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

You wonder? Shouldn't the diameter of the area covered should only increase by 12mm by going from the 15 to the 21-- assuming the same size pad is used?

    Stuck On New Polisher FLEX/RUPES

Why the 21s over the 15?

G21 or G15, Have you pulled the trigger yet?

Can someone explain, or point me in the direction of where to find, why one might choose the 15 or 21?

How long do you all think the 476 needs to be left to cure?

Need Some Input on Fixing Chalky Paint

Vehicle is a 2006 Double Cab Tundra in White. It is looking more of a flat white these days in many spots. Not sure if you would call that chalky or oxidized.

Need Some Input on Fixing Chalky Paint

Ok, this is what I think I have decided to go with. If I am doing something stupid please let me know: - Clay Bar - Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover with Orange or Yellow (if the oxidation is really bad) CCS Pad - Wolfgang Finishing Glaze with White CCS Pad - I think these two could be...

Sealer Recommendation - Need Short Cure Time

My truck doesn't fit in my garage, so I need a sealer that doesn't require a long cure time. I am sure those may be better, but I have no place to park my truck overnight to keep it out of the elements. I didn't see Meguiar’s #21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 or Detailer's Pro Series Poli-Coat Paint...
