Trim Restorer Showdown - Round 2 (Long and Pic heavy)

First I want to thank you for taking the time to compile this review/results. Outstanding job. I was surprised the Turtle Wax performed as well as it did. I'm going to have to try the WG trim restorer since others have mentioned it in this thread. Good job.

Anything wrong with using APC instead of dedicated wheel cleaner

APC+ ###. I'll never use anything else on wheels.

    Why not simply inexpensive apc?

THIS. I got tired of wasting money on 'wheel cleaners'.

    Logo design

Not to be harsh but I'll be direct. That looks honestly like a beginner produced it. The font type is bland, the vehicle in the middle of the logo doesn't excite or draws my eyes to it. Just sort of,...meh. If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters. However if you feel like it could...

    Logo..

Middle one would be my choice. Chrome, silver, looks good. Add a tag line like "auto detailing" below it.

    need good wheel cleaner

Man I must have tried countless wheel cleaners. Sonax Full Effect, P21S, Brown Royal, you name it. I love the way P21S works but I used a lot and it's not cheap. Sonax FE,..not a fan. Brown Royal...stuff is nasty. It works some of the time, and smells terrible. Do not breathe that stuff...

    For the 'outdoorsy' folk...

Great job! I know you put some hours into that one. To me these are the best show n shines. Exotics,...you can have 'em. Daily Drivers beat to heck,...that's the turnaround.

Carpet/Upholstery Cleaning - Let's learn the most effective way.

Maybe this will help others. Vacuum, pre-treat with Matrix Grand Slam, let work for 10 minutes, scrub with terry cloth towel, steam. Extract if you'd like. Did some floor mats from a Honda Pilot, turned out great. Can't see doing carpets any other way now.

    What I've Learned (Warning: Long)

Optimum No Rinse + Pop up canopy = no issues. I use it, I like it. Good luck.

    Surcharge for Suv

I realize I'm rehashing this thread, but it pizzes me off. So why isn't the "last guy" still doing details for him? Exactly. What a cheap azz. Oh, and don't be shocked when he calls you up, last minute, he's in a jam because his other guy quit/failed to show up/got fired, etc. and he needs...

Trashed Trailblazer 2: Work in progress

Outstanding job! Very impressive. You went on a great learning journey. I hate roofs on suvs.....ugh. Great write-up, thorough and informative. The before and afters make the thread.

    Craigslist Adds

First starting out, I relied solely on cl ads as I wasn't about to lay money out for advertising. Once I got word of mouth and repeats I slowed it down. It worked. You will get 'cheaps' but know that going in. You're always going to have the hacks to compete with. I raised my prices. Smart...
