I need to clean the seats on my Subaru Legacy GT while I have the Lexol kit I hear that the conditioner does nothing for the seats but add more dirt over time.. I'm at a lost here.. I was going to get the Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner however visiting the website was a turn off...

I'm just going to leave them be I think until the headlight starts to haze over.. Sorry for the long delay I can't just get another headlight since the headlights came from Japan it would require me to buy another pair which is around $290 or so. Only thing is when the headlights are on it...

That looks better then others I've seen with a total cloud over.

Well I had planned on sanding the whole headlight down anyways so I will figure out which to start with first.. I have the headlights apart right now for the moment because of some other work being done to it but i might get around to it tomorrow. it will be nice if I can have it go away...

I've done a restore before but it was just hazing not something like this.. also the lowest grit I think I have right now is 400 or 800 I can't remember at the moment.. but I have some all the way up to 3000 grit.

I was running my fingernail over them and you can feel the roughness but I was wondering after sanding and all is it too deep?

^ agree I found this thread and the other large one on google looking for ways to keep the headlight clear for something longer then just 4 months outdoors. Seems crazy at first until you see the final.

I'm so glad I found this thread I picked up all my stuff from home depot to do my headlights, all I need now is a mixing cup.

Good thing the helsman is on sale at home depot I think It was $12.98 instead of $15 Forgot to get a mixing cup however I skipped the 180 grit sandpaper because the headlights are not in that bad of a shape.

I just came from Home depot this morning and I went to check and the can 1 qt. was like $6 something I saw no other sizes.

Aggh wished they sold them in smaller bottles the can size they still at Home depot is enough to last me like 3 years..

one other thing can I use acetone instead of mineral spirits? I hate to buy extra of something when I have like a full can of acetone

Only thing I'm curious is me doing this plus this way with the clear bra with a projector headlight is anything funny going to show up? My car sits outside year round and when my new headlights from Japan come in I'm going to try this way of clearing them with the old set coming off.

I've been reading this thread seems good any updates on how it's holding up? I ordered the 3000 grit sheet from here but seems like I wont need it but good to keep on hand I guess.
