It definitely depends on the wax or sealant. If you don't feel you can safely and effectively remove what has been applied to the finish already, then applying a coating is not the best idea.

Great question. You are absolutely correct. You want a pure and clean bond between the paint and the coating for maximum durability. It certainly depends on the LSP. But most should remove easily with a variety of chemical methods. GYEON Prep will work well. A dish soap wash will work well also...
