MF Towels: orange & Green vs. Gold Plush Jr

Wow, almost 50 views and no one has both the Gold PLush Jr and the green or orange "special edition" towels to compare? I guess I'm a MF junkie :D

MF Towels: orange & Green vs. Gold Plush Jr

Like the title says - are the orange or green plush towels the same weight/etc as the gold plush jr? They're the same price (3 for $12.99) and look similar.... Also, appears the weight for Gold Plush Jr. is wrong in the chart - lists them as 600, product description shows them as 380 (380...

    brake dust and tire cleaning

Couple previous posts from a while back - I still do this, the brake dust still comes off easily (another thing I'va adopted is a Swiffer to get dry brake dust off). Part II has a video showing some results. Old Product New Trick Old Product New Trick, Part II

    Cyber Monday deals

AG had killer deals from black friday all the way through Christmas (New Year's?) last year.... I suggest deciding on a list of stuff you want, and waiting to see it for a price you like. If I recall, there were different bogos every day and such....sometimes free shipping, gifts, everything...

    Finish Kare 425

Thought of those. It wasn't application in the sun, and not too much product. In fact, one of the most frustrating was putting it on in the garage when the car was cool, thinking it looked great, and then pulling out into the sun later and seeing the streaks. It was more likely to streak on...

    Finish Kare 425

I had trouble with Fk425 on my dark cars (one black, one dark blue). When it works, it works great. But I frequently got streeaking really badly, and the only way I could get the streaks out was to wash (or sometimes to just LSP) the surface. Spoke with the fine smart folks here on the AG...

Wet sanding raised touch up paint on BMW

Thanks guys! I actually wrote it as an email first for just a couple people in the BMW community, who aren't (quite) as into detailing as we all are, and they kept after me to post it in that forum. Was a bit timid to post it here since I'm pretty low on the learning curve compared to many of...

Thrifty Vs Fifty Ep 4 : UWW+ (clay lube dilution) vs DP Universal Clay Lubricant

UWW+ concentrate is one of my go-to products. Love it.

Wet sanding raised touch up paint on BMW

Langka works pretty well, I've used it as well. it's definitely an option if you don't want to take on wetsanding.

Wet sanding raised touch up paint on BMW

I wrote up a chip repair using the BMW touch up paint, I hope it's ok to post this link here since it's not a detail supply forum (and I even reference Autogeek! :D ). Shows pretty much step by step what I did, with photos. DIY: Wetsanding paint chip repair - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums I have...

    Designated towels for waterless wash

I use towels that are similar to Chinchillas for rinseless washings (for the wash part). Then use another one to almost-dry, and a regular/plush towel for the final dry. Once the wet chinchilla is too dirty, the one that has been used for almost-drying rotates into that spot.

    Photography Decisions - Help!!!

one aside message to everyone, if you are willing to look at used gear, I highly recommend the buy/sell forum at fredmiranda.com: Specialized in Canon - Nikon SLR Cameras, Forum, Photoshop Plugins, Actions, Reviews, Hosting and Digital Darkroom. I've bought and sold multipe lenses and other...

    Photography Decisions - Help!!!

Glass. Especially fast glass. Then Lightroom. There was a good point on the 50 being a little long for a crop walk-around lens, though. I shoot Canon so am not familiar with the Nikon lens lineup, but I know on my crop sensor I loved the 28/1.8. Is there a similar Nikon offering in the same...

? About WolfGang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

In my experience, waxes will adhere fine to sealants (I've done this with Klasse SG, Four Star UPP, WG DGPS, and BFWD). So topping with a good wax works well - but is almost strictly cosmetic, since the wax will fade way before the sealant does. Most sealants do/will not bond to a wax...

    Which wax for topping BFWD?

Yep, I think this is the route I'm going to take. Especially since I've liked what I'm getting from the BFMS Instant Detailer. Honestly, I tihnk once you hit a cetain level, the differences can be so sublte it's difficult to see them. Sometimes I wonder if I like something better, or if it's...

    Which wax for topping BFWD?

Wow, must admit I'm a bit surprised, because of all the raves I've heard about Fuzion, figured it would at least be 50-50. So far, BFMS is way up. Keep the thoughts coming - I'm an information addict. :) As mentioned and pictured, paint is dark blue metallic, and I'm partial to a deep, wet...

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

FK 425. Bought a gallon based on reviews and recommendations. When it worked, it worked great. When it didn't, it streaked badly and it was almost impossible to get the streaks out. It was a crapshoot as to which would happen, and it only ever streaked badly onthe hood (one hint that it was...

Klasse AIO first time user questions - new forum member

Is it a haze in the paint surface itself or is it a haze like oil or something left over on the paint (i.e. if you move a MF towwel in one direction, does the haze "move" in the direction you're wiping)? If it's a haze like an oil left on the paint, follow up by wiping the area down with a...

Used KSG for the first time tonight

That's exactly perfect. With KSG, if you can almost see it disappearing into the paint as you work it in, you've got it right. I use to use 1 ounce of KSG on a Lexus LS400, but that was without a spray bottle, so sounds like you're doing great. One thing I used to do with Klasse that might...

Klasse AIO first time user questions - new forum member

I'd get the compound as well as the polish, they're good to have on hand, especially with a black vehicle (I have one black, one dark blue). Reach for it all the time to fix small stuff. Another option I just realized is the Mequiars XMT products, they also have great reviews but I haven't...
