    Layering sealants?

yes, this is what made me think of it. I used to do KAIO x2, and then KSG x3 (or more). for me, 3 was about the right number, after that you couldn't really tell much difference. Just wondering if the new (not the quartz) sealants also benefit from more than one layer....

    How to fix paint chips

I've used the Dr. Colorchip on a dark blue metallic car. First off, paint color match for me was excellent. I watched a couple videos (not only their marketing ones, but user reviews and show-and-tells on Youtube) and read the instructions before I tried it. Found it to work pretty much...

    Layering sealants?

Does anyone bother to apply more than one coat/layer of the sealants like DGPS, Blackfire, etc? I know folks still top with various waxes, but before I do that I'm wondering if I should do another layer of DGPS.... Thoughts? This is on a Monaco Blue BMW, using DGPS and topping with...

    Using KlasseAIO a second time

Only thing I'll add (Bobby and everyone else are right on in their posts) is that when I was using KAIO and then topping it, I found that doing the KAIO twice gave me much better results. I know it doesn't layer, but KAIOx2 followed by whatever you top with is awesome, I think the second...

    ONR question

Just want to point out something no one has commented on yet... 2 oz of product in 4 gallons of water is the same dilution as 1 oz of product in 2 gallons of water, so if it was the case that the solution was too strong you didn't change it (if those are in fact the ratios you used). That...

    Wax stains on black trim

Klasse All-in-One will often take wax stains off trim, and it's safe for them (and your paint)....one reason why I used it for so long for my cars - no worry about getting it on trim, or chrome or glass. But it will take it off, might give it a shot.

    Camera?

Another tip for Canon shooters - look into the refurbished items on the Canon web site. Great discounts, and they also have a loyalty program that knocks (IIRC) another 20% off the price if you send them ANY old canon camera (working or not, film or digital). BTW, 24-70 is an awesome lens...

Final steps for BMW Monaco Blue paint

Maybe some photos will help. Looking at these, maybe I'm being hyper-critical? First is a test spot when I was using the DACP - Taped off a spot to keep track, you can see the minor spiderwebbing. Next is the same spot post-buffing. Spiderwebs are gone. Closeup of the area. The smudge to...

Final steps for BMW Monaco Blue paint

Not sure if it was there prior to the DACP buffing or not. I'd never noticed it, but I wasn't out looking for it either, since I knew there were swirls that needed to be removed. Until the first buffing, I just washed it well and did a layer of Klasse AIO to remove whatever wax/etc was on it...

Final steps for BMW Monaco Blue paint

Thanks - I figured I'd start with the Optimum finishing polish (the meguairs is the compund, not the polish) and a white or grey pad, and as you suggest, if that doesn't work, move to an orange pad. All I have in pads are those three - grey, white, and orange....several of each... Part of my...

Final steps for BMW Monaco Blue paint

Hi folks, Just got an '07 BMW with Monaco blue paint. Previously had a Lexus LS with really, really hard paint, and not sure how this BMW paint compares. The paint is in pretty good shape, except for the hood that has pretty evenly distributed "type 2" water spots. I've gotten the swirls...

WD-40; What have you used it for?

I use it frequently to remove the adhesive residue left by price tags, etc. It seems more potent than the goo-gone I have, but obviously have to make sure whatever it is won't be stained by the oil. Also removes the labels from repurposed spray bottles :)

    Paper Leather.

Exactly true of most later model BMWs. I use a combination leather cleaner/conditioner, but to get them really clean I'll use something like DP all interior cleaner and clean them like they're just plastic or vinyl using a soft boars hair brush. The conditioner just smells nice :)
