    Meg's D181 Leather Cleaner (no conditioner)....any experiences?

I've been using 181 for a couple years and it does work great...lately Ive been using Griot?s Scent Restoring Leather Cleaner. Works a bit better I think on the really nasty seats. Mike

    '01 Vette Show Prep

Did some exterior work on this '01 Vette in preparation for a show. Paint was in good shape but needed some TLC in the way of some decontamination ( lots of over-spray on the left side and on the hood ), and a bit of correction due to a bit of swirling and marring. Came out great and the owner...

    Dirty Farm Truck Detail!

Great job...I have a regular customer who uses his '16 F350 Platinum as his farm truck in Eastern Wa. I get it every 3 or 4 months for a full detail, about the same condition if not maybe worse. I'll get a vid together next time I get it. Mike

    mobile detailing

I don't have one myself, but a customer let me use one during a job last summer. It was an 8' dia with a weighted base and articulating arm. It was SO easy to move it around and make the shade where I needed it as I moved around the truck. Very easy to move and gave a great shaded area. I'd be a...

    Griots spray on wax

Agree with this as well. That being said I'm finding that the Best Of Show Detailer works excellently as a drying aid as does their Waterless Wash & Wax (and is more economical too). Mike

    Exterior Trim Sealants

Might get a bit of hate for this.....but I am using the old Megs Paint Protect 365. I was not a fan on paint, but for plastic and trim I like it. My test mule truck, I did the bed rail caps and left a control section, and after a year there is still a noticeable difference. And besides, I need...

    Sealants on glass

I've been going over lightly water spotted glass with Megs D166 or HD Speed depending what I'm using at the time. I then will clean it with 3M Glass Cleaner and Protector. Glass stays VERY hydrophobic for months and wiper blades are smooth and silent with no streaking that can occur with some...

How much do you charge for a one-step exterior detail?

I start at $150 for small cars (Prius, Miata ect...) up to $200 for Trucks and SUVs.....I'm right at 2-2.5 hrs with a good understanding with the customer that the paint will NOT come out perfect...just much better. Mike
