    Glass Polish

So I picked up a fleet of ambulances to do some waterspot removal on them. Did the first one a couple days ago, the paint was no problem and the glass was a bit harder, but Griots Glass Polish on a GG6 with 3" Rayon pads chewed thru it nicely. Went up to Griots today to pick up more, to find out...

Help - What am I doing wrong or is my product not good enough - Leather cleaning interior

I started using Griot's Scent Restoring Leather Cleaner. It has NO leather scent to it ( a bit misleading), more of a citrus, but it does a wonderful job of cleaning light colored leathers! Mike

HD Speed vs Megs D166 vs Menz 3 in 1

Speed is pretty much my go-to with BOSS orange or BOSS Microfiber pads. For lighter colors I'll use Megs 166, It does seem to have a bit more gloss to it. Pics are of a '00 4-Runner with pretty bad brush scratches. Speed with BOSS MF pads, 4 passes on a G21.

    Water and Generator

I do several details at businesses and need to provide my own utilities. Clients are surprised and happy to hear that I have this capability. I use a 35g tank in my van along with a Ryobi 1.2gmp / 1600 psi washer and I can do 4 cars on 35g of water if needed. Also a Honda EU200i generator that i...

    Meguiar's professional grit guard

I was about to say this. I feel that anything heavy enough to sink to the bottom would be grit, therefore it's working perfectly. Any floaters would be minimally damaging to the paint compared to whats on the bottom of the bucket. Also very gently dip into the water and don't move the bucket...

    What am i doing wrong???

When I do a test spot and find really hard paint, my go to is my G21 with MF pad and Fast Correcting cream. That is about as aggressive as you can get before wet sanding. Normally get great results and even with that combo, it finishes nicely although I will typically go back with orange pads...

What do you use to protect windshield wiper arms?

The same sealant that I use on the paint. Lately GT C2v3. On my van, they were flaking so I took them in and had them powder coated. Looks great and they'll probably outlast the vans paint. Spent $35 on it locally.

    IDA CD In-A-Day at Griot's?....

Just wondering (and REALLY hoping) if there will be Phase II testing available at the Griot's Roadshow classes on 7-27/28. I will be attending and this would be the closest by far for me to get my SV / CD cert. Thanks Mike

Everything Eldo said here! On my 2-steps I run Correcting or Fast Correcting with BOSS or LC orange pads followed by Perfecting or Finishing Sealant with whites. This is on my G21 and / or GG6 (5") Mike

    Air Fresheners

I've been using Megs Lemon-Lime Squash air fresheners in my customer's cars for a couple years now. Everyone has LOVED it and even use it around the house too. My case of it is about out and it seems to have been pulled from shelves. Not just discontinued, but removed from stock for reasons "not...

    Make up on door panels....

So I'm a bit stumped on this one. 2012 Escape with makeup or lotion transfer on the drivers' door panel where your forearm would rest against it. I forgot to get pics of it but I'm sure you have seen it before. This pic I pulled on the net, but it is what i'm dealing with. I always have a hard...

New personal ride....LOTS of decals...best approach for polishing

yup ....lots of tape. I'd use 3M automotive (yellow) on it. I was using blue painters tape and it started to pull up a decal one time on me. The yellow is much easier to remove and hasn't been an issue with decal edges. Mike

Mobile guys -- Electric pressure washer running off of a Generator?

I've been running this ( https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-1-700-PSI-1-2-GPM-Electric-Pressure-Washer-RY14122/203800590 ) unit for the last two year off my Honda EU2000i with no issues at all. Great pressure, sips water (4 cars off 35 gallon tank) and has been super reliable. I did add a 50'...

What is the material in my car

Folex is safe for pretty much anything found in interiors, as fas as being alcantera...in a 2005 Pathfinder, I HIGHLY doubt it.
