D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Gotcha. I guess what I am having trouble understanding is that if there is old LSP on their, the bond between the old LSP to the paint is probably weaker, therefore easier to "flake" off. If I lay fresh LSP on old LSP, when the old LSP "flakes" off it'll take the new LSP with it. Secondly...

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Thanks for your input. And you're somewhat local to me, but I'm up in the Derry area often when the weather is nice I'm in Boston. I agree that I will use more product if I use all types of different dilution ratios. This stuff is probably going to last me for years so I rather use more to...

Just caught this. Do you mean that because I put Ultimate Quik Wax on after a wash, I'm not really putting the same type of LSP on when I apply 476S, hense I need to strip all LSP off? So basically if I didn't put UQW, I could just wash, clay then reapply 476S?

    Spray bottles

There are a lot of mix reviews on those Zep bottles. Even though they are inexpensive I avoided those just because I rather buy something once. However, every professional I see uses them. I just started detailing for fun and I went with the AutoZone's spray bottle. They're 32oz, have...

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

No. I was talking to him in the shop as he was switching from polishing to waxing and I saw his wax. I waited to get my car detailed and watched the whole process done on my baby through the window in the waiting room. I'll probably do a wax on it next month, and another in October before...

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Hmmmm, I thought that I need to remove old wax before applying new wax. So what you guys are saying is that if I am using the same type of wax then there is no need to completely remove the old wax? I was planning on using 476s anyways so if this is the case then it'll be convenient. The...

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Higher dilution is like 128 or 256:1 right? Lower is 6:1 or something? What if I did a wipe down with D114 at 6:1, then clay using 128 or 256:1? Will that remove wax? Last application of wax was a month or so ago. It was done by a detailer who used 1 coat of Collinite 476S. I feel like he...

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Excuse my n00b-ness. So I can't use D114 4:1-6:1, then apply wax afterwards? I should use something else that is dedicated for stripping wax? Alternatively, if I clay along with D114, wouldn't I remove wax? If using this method, what dilution should I use?

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

I left "Strip LSP" blank in my original post. As I understand it. 15:1 is to remove residual compound or polish. So I'm still looking for the dilution ratio for stripping LSP.:buffing:

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

Ya! I read it somewhere on AGO but now I can't find it. The poster compared the D114+D156 to D115 and had similar results.

D114 dilution ratio - please confirm.

I ordered D114 and its on the way. Can't wait to use it this weekend. Before I do I just want to confirm that I have the dilution ratios down. Can someone tell me what is the ratio to strip LSP, and if I should mix something else into it? Also how do I mix D114 with D156 to create something...

    maintenance wash combo - D114 + D156?

I did end up purchasing D114 and D156. Its in the mail somewhere. Is there a way to mix these together so I can apply wax while using. Basically creating something like D115. For example: add D156 to the bucket of solution of D114, or add D156 to a spray bottle with D114 in it.

    Snow Removal

I use a SnowBrum type of tool. Snow tend to stick together so I push the tool down to where I am about 1/4" from the paint and pull the snow off. It ends up taking the snow off down to the paint. Whatever is left over I'll go over with a microfiber towel. Please don't leave snow on the car...

    maintenance wash combo - D114 + D156?

I know about the D115 product. As far as I know, it's more expensive ($60+), dilution ratio is lower, and it's a one step compared to D114+D156 which takes 2 steps to do the same thing. The reason why I chose those 2 products is that it's more versatile where I can use it together or separately...

    maintenance wash combo - D114 + D156?

I'm not a detail nut but I like to keep my cars looking clean. I'm trying to assemble products that are easy to use, economical, and produce good results. I've never really detailed other than using Meguiar's cleaner wax on my motorcycle but I think I was using it incorrectly. Recently brought...

    Meguiar's D114 as Quick Detailer?

So 1:128 is good to use as quick detailer. 1:128 is also the dilution ratio for waterless wash isn't it? So essentially when you quick detail it using that ratio, you are doing a waterless wash? Same thing different terms?
