Thank you. I ended up washing, drying, applying iron-x and washing again. I applied to everything except wheels and brakes. Everything is fine. There was a okay amount of contamination especially in the rear hatch area and rear quarter panels. I guess see less reaction is better than more...

Thank you so much. I'm new to detailing so its a slow learning process. I'm planning on using Collinite 476. As far as I can tell, this is actual wax no sealant. Sounds like this will fit my application limitations.

So during the curing process, I can drive the car? What happens if it rains and gets wet? If I want to put another coat the next day, and I've driven it, I just wipe it down (maybe with quick detailer?), then top another coat?

I see. Makes sense. How come I see people categorize the same towels for both wheels, door jambs and engine bay? I would think door jambs would use the same towels as paint?

New to detailing (planning my first detail soon) so excuse me if the question is obvious... But why have a specific towel for claying? I thought the containments is picked up by the clay and you just wipe off the clay lube which could just be quick detailer spray? I had a bunch of yellow...

I just bought a new car and want to get a long lasting coating on it when it warms up. I am also a complete newbie when it comes to detailing. What is the application process for Poli-Coat Sealant? Does it have to sit overnight before I can top it off with a second layer or wax?
