Tint installer scratched my steering wheel. What should I do

I don't want to have to feel it every time I'm driving the car. Is this something that a detailing shop could fix? Should I have them attempt to fix it first and if they can't get a new wheel? Or just ask for a new wheel? My pretty new car scratched! I can't believe it. I even washed the salt...

Tint installer scratched my steering wheel. What should I do

I had tints installed on my new lease with 1500 miles on Saturday. On my way home I kept feeling something on my steering wheel around the 9 o clock position. When I got home I took a look and saw 2 long scratches/scuffs on the steering wheel. I'm very sure they scratches it while working on...

Definitive Way to Know if Car has Wax or Not?

I know this is an old post, and the link is even older. But will the Squeak Test work with microfiber towels?

Ah yes, I've read that. It sounded marketty so I thought there might be another purpose that wasn't so apparent.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

First time washing, iron-x, and (spray) waxing this car. 2 bucket method at local self wash at 3am. Noticed some dealer installed swirls on the hood that will be taken care of when it gets warm. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    How to use Iron X

Thank you. I ended up washing, drying, applying iron-x and washing again. I applied to everything except wheels and brakes. Everything is fine. There was a okay amount of contamination especially in the rear hatch area and rear quarter panels. I guess see less reaction is better than more...

    How to use Iron X

Couple questions. Just bought a new white car which currently has less than 1000 miles. Looking to do a decontamination with Iron X (Lemon Scent) on my upcoming first wash. I'm sure the dealership applied some sort of wax to shine it up before I picked it up. Is it necessary to remove the wax...

    Confused about wax cure time

Thank you so much. I'm new to detailing so its a slow learning process. I'm planning on using Collinite 476. As far as I can tell, this is actual wax no sealant. Sounds like this will fit my application limitations.

    Confused about wax cure time

So during the curing process, I can drive the car? What happens if it rains and gets wet? If I want to put another coat the next day, and I've driven it, I just wipe it down (maybe with quick detailer?), then top another coat?

    Dedicated towels

I see. Makes sense. How come I see people categorize the same towels for both wheels, door jambs and engine bay? I would think door jambs would use the same towels as paint?

    Dedicated towels

New to detailing (planning my first detail soon) so excuse me if the question is obvious... But why have a specific towel for claying? I thought the containments is picked up by the clay and you just wipe off the clay lube which could just be quick detailer spray? I had a bunch of yellow...

Review: New & Improved Detailer's Pro Series Poli-Coat Paint Sealant

Reason why I am worried about cure time is my car stays outside 24/7. Can I leave it outside to cure? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

Review: New & Improved Detailer's Pro Series Poli-Coat Paint Sealant

Wow, no need to let it cure overnight like other sealants? Another 2 questions. Can I layer a coat of carnauba wax over this sealant? What do I use to remove it completely down to clear coat? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    DP Poli Coat Feedback

I just bought a new car and want to get a long lasting coating on it when it warms up. I am also a complete newbie when it comes to detailing. What is the application process for Poli-Coat Sealant? Does it have to sit overnight before I can top it off with a second layer or wax?
