Any recommendations for dressing black painted steel bumpers/sliders?
I've been using WD40 on my steel rock sliders and roof rack but am wondering if there is something more professional-grade.
I had to scrub A LOT and wash multiple times to get the mud off of a brand new tire.
1 week into owning them I helped get some people out of a ditch and I got super muddy while doing so.

I used Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser at 5:1 on an '02 Civic's engine that had never been washed and it came out great. I used a parts cleaning brush and a flag tipped brush as needed and avoided the air intake, alternator, and computer.
I haven't started yet, I did find out that it's a '63, the owner doesn't know what type of paint though.
Weather hasn't been great so I've been having fun on my weekends instead of detailing.

My main motivation for getting all of my own supplies was that I could do it all for the same price that someone would charge and I could do it multiple times and do other people's cars and get my money back.
He ended up going to the dealer and getting the mirrors replaced and sending the product to turtle wax for evaluation.

In a FB group that I'm on someone posted that they used turtle wax ice wash and wax and it melted their mirrors. What would cause this? I've never been a fan of turtle wax, but this is a bit extreme.
