‘14 Chevy 2500 HD, Multi-Step Correction and Opti-Coat Pro application

Incredible work, but I don't envy you. The paint on those big flat panels has to be perfect, because it's like standing right in front of a huge mirror. I always have to take a day off after huge vehicles to recover. Are those polished aluminum wheels or are they clear coated? How did the...

    Pricing

Not unreasonable at all. Quite a few of my services are in the $600-$900 range. Couple that with interior work and your into four figures. Larger vehicles can easily break the four figure mark on the exterior alone. Paint correction is expensive. Plain and simple. You can't try to make it for...

E30 M3, Multi-Step Correction and Partial Wet Sanding

I was going to ask the same question. I'm trying to figure out a really good way to cut out a Meg's Xtra cut disc.

    Leather Conditioner Suggestions

Agreed. Conditioners are pointless on 99.9% of automotive leather out there. I throw the term "conditioner" around way too much because it's just ingrained in my head. But, really what you want for most leather is a protectant. Something that protects from UV damage and abrasion. Anything that...

Testing 2" Pneumatic DA Polisher (Video)

I may just have to bite the bullet and get the Mirka pads. I bet somebody will develop pads for these little machines in the near future. I'm probably heading out to SEMA. Maybe something will showcase there.

    Leather Conditioner Suggestions

It's difficult to suggest a conditioner without knowing what kind of leather you have. I'm almost certain that you have coated leather, but what year, make and model of car do you have? I'm guessing a Lancer? Do you know if you have aniline (very rare), semi aniline or coated leather? Could...

Testing 2" Pneumatic DA Polisher (Video)

Please let me know how they compare. I'm almost sure the TA50 will have the edge. I'm just worried about the durability of the HF model. If I can get a year out of it, I'll be happy. Also, what have you been doing for pads on the TA50?

To tape, or not to tape?

Better safe than sorry and use a good quality tape. It only takes a few minutes to tape and will cost you less than 5 bucks.

2013 MX-5 - Gorgeous Metallic Paint gets polished and protected with Opti-Coat

Love that paint color! I'm really liking the Opti-Coat primer and have noticed the jeweling effect. I had a small section on a panel, with very light micromarring leftover after the polishing step. I was considering repolishing but decided to see what the primer would do, just for the heck of...

    Remove and reinstall Badges

Ive only done this a few times ever on special projects. Fishing line, heat and adhesive remover to remove. Ive used 3m emblem adhesive with good results. Do not apply the adhesive until you have measured, centered, etc and you can use a dry erase marker to trace it on the paint when you have...

Dont dilute. Its one of the best cutting aios i know of. Trying to do any real cutting via dedicated compound for those prices in those time frames will get u labeled as a hack really quick. Offer a budget detail at a budget price but never do hack detailing.
