    3M Tape DAMAGED window molding!

The product code may still be printed inside the roll. Figuring out exactly what tape it is may help determine the best way to address the issue. I can understand your unhappiness, but I don't see this as "destruction" - it may still be possible to restore the trim. What chemicals have you...

303 Protectant or Einzsett Cockpit Premium

My experience, as well. 303 protectants are supposed to be buffed to work properly. When I see complaints about 303 products being messy or too glossy, this is usually the missed step.

303 Protectant or Einzsett Cockpit Premium

I took a look at 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium Interior Plastic Cleaner and saw no mention of a protectant function on the AG page. Apparently the same product in a different bottle (?) is listed to have some protectant properties on the manufacturer's page, but I noticed that they list...

    Black plastic door handles

I've found that the texture on those handles is very good at holding residue. If you don't already, try masking them when working on the paint. Scrubbing with a microfiber cloth or a soft-medium stiff brush (toothbrush or boar's hair brush) and an all purpose cleaner usually gets mine clean.

    Jumping in and Goodbye "Powerball"

Welcome aboard! White paint shows iron contamination worse than any other color. If you're going to the trouble of decontaminating the car, why not do the best job you can? Also, new synthetic decon products like Speedy Surface Prep Towel and Nanoskin Car Care Products are worth a look. They...

How to use a foam gun by Mike Phillips

Now that I have a foam gun in hand, I think there's a small, significant difference between the two screws. I also noticed a tool free number on the instruction sheet for ordering parts. I don't have time now, but I'll post a scan of that sheet later.

    40+ Hours Interior Detail work

I don't believe that van was cleaned by anyone for a very long time. Even a bad detailer would've removed more of the chunks and swarf than that. It's like the difference between someone that stinks after mowing their lawn compared to the dude that's hummin' after weeks of indulging his...

    40+ Hours Interior Detail work

Nicely done. When was the last time that was supposedly detailed by others? It would've been cleaner if someone took a rake and shovel to it. I'm not surprised to see a roached out vehicle, but I am surprised that anyone would pay for 40 hours of professional detailing on the interior of one...

Best way to repair this scratch

You've got nothing to lose by trying to compound it first. See how that goes, and you can still wet sand or paint if you think it's necessary. I'm with Joe, though. Compound + polish, then call it good.

The #7 Rub Down Technique by Mike Phillips

Looks good. I'll bet bug cleaning will be much easier. What year and model is the plane?

portable air gun/blower for drying ?..

DeWalt makes a rubber multi-tip kit for theirs; Makita and their brethren may do the same. I like the cordless blower idea, but I think it'd make the most sense if the OP already owned some tools that used the same batteries, or planned to buy into a system. Otherwise, there's a fair amount of...

How to use wolf alumium kit

I think that's stainless steel, not aluminum. I'm not sure how well the Wolfgang kit will work on brushed stainless. Either way, it looks like some soak time with a strong degreaser, scrub down with a brush, and pressure washing would be a good first step.

Neat! Adding three 8' high output fluorescent fixtures was the first upgrade I made to my garage. Looking forward to the before & after photos.

    A.C. for garage

Sounds like a single stall garage. Are the walls, ceiling, and all doors insulated? If not, you'll need to take care of that first or it'll be difficult to cool the space. What kind of power is available just for the AC? Many garages have a single 15 amp circuit for the entire garage, which...
