    its hard to get them to look great with the basic metal look, especially without disassembling them. if youre going to take the time to do that though, then you might as well paint them. dont just use any old high temp spray paint though, look for ceramic paint designed for caliper use or else...

    no stay with the orange pad... ultimate compound has a longer working time. and dont be afraid to apply a little pressure when using the compound. dont crush the car but put a little pressure on the polisher so you can hear the vibrations slow just a bit. and make sure your passes arent too...

    its definitely not as spreadable as a liquid wax, takes some more time, but the results are definitely worth it. remember to let it set before buffing off too! thats an important step!

    you do not need to clay the car again. i would, however, wash it using a little bit of dawn soap or apc added to your soap bucket. remember to do small sections, overlapping passes and take your time with a little pressure when using the compound. what type of pads and what size pads are you...

    oh yeah and make sure you dampen the pad and keep it in the air tight bag with as little air as possible when youre storing it
