LCS 6.5" Yellow Foam Cutting vs. 6.5" Purple Foamed Wool

I don't have near the experience of Asphalt Rocket but the 6.5 PFW pad is probably my favorite. I use LCS orange and if that doesn't do what I need it to do, I go with PFW & M105. I use it after wetsanding or any scratch that can be got out with a machine it cuts fairly quick. I do use it...

Tips on detecting if a car has had a lot of touch up paint

Interesting, rubbed on them and didn't seem to be polish in them. But would make sense as I don't see how somebody could have touched up scratches that well. I took a tooth pick on a couple to try and get the polish out but no luck. I may try a q tip & IPA or something.

Tips on detecting if a car has had a lot of touch up paint

Sort of. In another post I have on suggestions to tackle it, a lot of them look like little crows feet. I was trying to think of a way to describe the as a Y or peace semble or something. Almost makes you think somebody had to almost purposely do it or a symptom of something with paint...

Suggestions on how to go about correcting these small scratches

Crows feet that's what I was trying to think of. Thanks. Well the car is an 08, I may run it by the Honda place and get them to look at it then. Paint shouldn't be failing on a 2 year old car. As for the other post, there doesn't look to be any pattern to these. Just randomly all over the...

Suggestions on how to go about correcting these small scratches

Hello, This is a second post on this problem but different topic. I picked up a car this week to do some work on. In working on the hood, after just touching the hood with a pad, it appears there are hundreds of tiny scratches all over the hood. I'm not even sure what would have caused...

When starting out, don't get frustrated comparing your work to pix on the 'net

Wow Christian, I hope I improve as good as you did with a DSLR. My T1i should be here Tues. Man that's a big difference and why I bought one. P.S. At least for the pix I'm using to post a car for sale etc. Was there any Photoshop or anything involved with these pix or are they untouched?

When starting out, don't get frustrated comparing your work to pix on the 'net

I don't know if anybody else starting out has gotten frustrated when starting out. I know I did back when I started. I actually made a post in another thread about this. However yesterday, I got a new car to work on. In person it's just amazingly swirled out and looks pretty crappy. The car...
