The REAL reason I use Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions (SHORT video)

When I got it back from the shop after getting mechanical work it, and several other cars had fallout damage (likely from the Canadian wildfires) on the upper surfaces. My fix? Step #1 Rotary polisher with a MILD polishing pad (Meguiar's thin tan polishing pad), speed 2.5, weight of the buffer...

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

I plan on buying the RaggTopp kit (cleaner and protectant) IF she decides to have me do the car. She checked with the shop I was told about in my other thread, who is IDA rated, and they are booked until the end of August. But she would like to have the car gone over BEFORE then. So I told her...

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

I was not aware of that, but his FB page has almost NO information about what he DOES, he states his 'details' START at $140, but quoted her $550 for Graphene/Ceramic coating her Camaro (using Adams Graphene coating). Does not say WHAT, IF ANY prep work he does, except to mention claying. So how...

Looking for a reputable shop/mobile detailer near Bellville, Oh

I have a friend/fellow Club Member who has a 2011 2SS Camaro, convertible (white) & CLOTH top. A shop local to her tried scamming the heck out of her and fortunately, I saw her post on the Club's page, got her to ask a few questions of the shop, and when they couldn't give straight answers, had...

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

The choice has been made - she has decided to run for the hills AWAY from this "detailer." He planned on using Adams ceramic coating (FOR PAINT) on her cloth convertible top!!!!! Plus charge $550 for a "Graphene/Ceramic Coating" using the same products, but did not mention ANY prep, except for a...

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

I've sent her a link (from AutoGeek that I found on the internet) and it DOES mention RaggTopp cleaner and Protectant

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

She's talking to both me (on FB Messenger) and the "detailer" on their website. They told her that they use a Ceramic SPRAY COATING - for PAINT on the cloth tops! I asked her to clarify that with them and if they really ARE doing that to run away, fast

Need advice for 2011 Camaro, cloth-top convertible care

I have a friend, who's in the medical field and inherited her dad's 2011 2SS Camaro convertible. She is too far away (over an hour) for me to detail her car for her, so she is looking at a local detailing shop and asked me what to ask them and the things to question them about. I know enough...

    Rotary polisher to the rescue!

Well, I THOUGHT I had polished out the damage from the car sitting outside, uncared for, for a month, while waiting for parts - I was WRONG. I THOUGHT that by using an aggressive foam cutting pad and then a mild polishing foam pad on my orbital FIXED the issue - I was wrong I went out this...

It took THREE days (some starting at 1 am), but the Camaro is DONE - In & Out

THANKS! I have sleep issues and often wake up around 3 am, so instead of turning lights on in the house and waking up the wife, I went out to the garage and started bringing the car 'back to life,' working until I was ready to drop. Yesterday, I started at 1 am, and FORTUNATELY, all I had left...

It took THREE days (some starting at 1 am), but the Camaro is DONE - In & Out

On my OLDER cars, I wouldn't think twice and would keep them cleaned / clean them often. I had an older Toyota pick up that when my mechanic popped the hood, he instantly stopped talking, and you could TELL he was at a loss for words, because by looking at the rest of the truck (which WAS clean...

NEGLECTED Camaro interior - Before & After

I've been away from "That Place" for almost 9 months and Officially retired since December 9th, but it is STLL affecting my sleep - which is why I'm wide awake at 1 am, and getting ready to go out to the garage

NEGLECTED Camaro interior - Before & After

It is ALMOST done. I did the major cleaning of the interior Tuesday, and completed the rear seat area 100% yesterday. As well as a 2-step compounding of the hood, roof and trunk (TW One & Done on a maroon, Meguiar's cutting pad, speed 6, followed by One & Done on an orange, Lake Country LIGHT...

I got my 1st Troll on YouTube LOL

Maybe NOT troll-ish, but I definitely feel like I'm being baited, but I ain't falling for it. I did/do expect some BS to pop up now and then, and I don't mind a good debate. I only started using the laundry detergent mix after seeing Brian @ Apex Detailing use it on some pretty gnarly work...

I got my 1st Troll on YouTube LOL

I posted that my 'go to' cleaner for severe interiors (neglected/smokers) is 3 oz Tide Laundry Detergent + 3 oz of APC in a 32 oz bottle of water. HE tells me to flush it all in the toilet and use DAWN Platinum Dish Soap instead
