    I've discovered forced air!

Years ago, I had a guy who has a detail shop tell me the "secret" to detailing was compressed air. Not having access to a compressor (at that time), I listened, but didn't dwell on it. Now that I DO have a working compressor, the thought reoccurred to me, since there have always been two areas...

Need help uploading pics (so YOU can see them!)

I USED to store all my pics on Meguiarsonline.com, then copy and paste the URL here. I was able to get FULL-SIZED pics that you could see the detail on. But they changed their site and I can no longer access or retrieve pictures from there. So I started downloading the pictures here on AG, but...

I’m about to do something crazy…

I'd call Lil' Tykes and ask about their paint warranty on those cars.

    Detaiuling your workspace ....

It's a 4 gallon, 5.0 hp Ridgid vac and I mainly use it to sweep the floors in the house (hardwood floors - LOTS of dog hair). but I don't really have to empty it very often. I actually empty it more often NOW, since I got the compressor fixed, because I think it's really cool blowing out the...

    What a LOAD

The 'extra plush' towels were just bought last summer and have seen very little actual use. I also picked up a few packs of a slightly better quality than the ones shown at the same time. The ones pictured are no longer used for paint/glass, just for general cleaning duties.

    Detaiuling your workspace ....

I'm NO WHERE near done yet, LOL. Although I did just clean out the left corner near the garage door tonight. I used a wall-mount garden hose holder to wrap up and hang my extention cord, and a screw-in hook to hang my air hose for the compressor. Both of them now are neatly stored. I also built...

    What a LOAD

Here is a picture of the tote I mentioned in my other post about the garage, with ALL but a few of the towels I spent Thursday night and all Friday washing (I didn't remove the last of the towels from the washer/dryer until THIS morning). The extra plush ones in this picture are still used as a...

    Detaiuling your workspace ....

I know I’ve said that my garage is too small to do any seriousdetailing in it (it is a 1.5 car garage), but I do upon occasion dolight “waxing” in there when the weather doesn’t allow doing it inthe driveway – or it’s so windy that dust blows all over the carwhile I’m trying to apply or remove a...

How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

STILL using mine (a NON XP). I've had it since 2002 and the only thing it's ever needed was a new cord.

    $60 repair bill on compressor

I just "blew up" my toaster :D Since retiring, I've been cleaning the hell out of the house, including anything that's not fast enough to get out of my way (the toaster WAS pretty slow :D ). So I noticed that there were a LOT of crumbs coming from the bottom of the toaster. Being a rational...

    $60 repair bill on compressor

The shop called yesterday, the repairs were complete on the air compressor. I had to wait until today to go pick it up, because "The Wife" decreed that, that anytime I go to Hartville (those in NE Ohio, know all about Hartville), that ANYTIME I GO THERE, SHE IS GOING WITH ME, because that's...

With me, the change was SO dramatic and happened SO fast, even *I* noticed it. I can only imagine how my family feels.

The FINAL piece of the puzzle has arrived (excited)

LOL, believe it or not, Retirement is almost harder than working! My attitudes have done a COMPLETE 180 and I AM NOT the person that I have been for the last 32 years, not even close. My wife (and Autistic, adult boys) have no idea who this strange man is that LOOKS like their dad/husband, and...
