    2008 Scion tC

I am looking for some advice here. The car is a 2008 Scion tC - almost 4 years old, never garaged, never waxed. I washed it yesterday. Taped it this morning. My equipment: Cyclo with green pads (I do not have any orange pads) and Griots 3 inch polisher. I started with the Cyclo with green pads...

Dying light tan leather in an 06 Acura TL

You need to take a look at the complete Leatherique products. I used their 2 step process on 20 year old seats. I showed the car at a national level and I was asked if I put new seats in the car. They also have a dye process. I cannot vouch for that product but you should go to their website.

    Tire pressure gauge caps

I used a set of metal caps on my 1995 Tacoma. The cap would not come off. I took it to a garage when I had a tire go down. The guy there asked me "what idiot put these on"? and I said "I did!" needles to say, I have not had to say that since that day.

Good Morning from the Lehigh Valley

You know what gave me the initiative to buy a buffer (Cyclo) and start doing my own cars? i was at a fancy, drive thru car wash where they also "detail" customers cars. they were showing someone how to buff on a customer's car. I said if that guy can do it, so can I. I still have a lot to learn...

    Smells of products

I prefer no perfumes. Worst: I bought some low gloss tire and rubber stuff while I was waiting for the Sonus and Griots. That stuff smelled so bad I got a migraine. I do not know what brand it was because I threw it out! I love Pinnacle Souveran.

    Water Spots

I washed my engine with P21S. I worked a section at a time so the entire process took about 6 hours. I now find that I have some water spots on horizontal areas - like in front of the headlights. What is the best way to remove these spots? Compound?

    Storage in Car Capsule/Bubble

Well, we have one capsule and will be getting another. The car is rarely driven so it stayed in the bubble almost a year. I doubt it caused the problem; the car is 20 years old and the leatherique is working - I just posed the question in case others noticed dryness as a result. the constant fan...

    Storage in Car Capsule/Bubble

Yes, I sure have learned to hate mice. No need to even think of mice while using the capsule.

    Storage in Car Capsule/Bubble

I store my car in my garage, in a car capsule during the winter. Just wondering if there are any negatives to this. I recently posted about Leatherique and got to thinking that perhaps - just perhaps - the constantly moving air may have contributed to the dry leather.

    Touch Up Small Chips

I have a few; they are all small. I am going to a show where it will be worth a point or two deduction so I want to do everything that I can. Thanks!

    Touch Up Small Chips

OK, what is the best way to touch up small stone chips? I bought the Griots kit that looks like a hypodermic needle. Will I be left with a raised spot that needs sanding or compound?

    Leatherique

I just came in from the garage. I applied another coat. It is soaking in; I can tell from the dry spots. I covered it with Saran. I will be home early tomorrow so I will put the car in the sun for a few hours. This stuff is GOOD - I just need to work out the fine details!

    Leatherique

I did as instructed - lathered on the "oil" (honey colored product). Left it on for 24 hours followed by the "clean" (milky colored product). I am not complaining - I am just looking for softer leather.

    Leatherique

OK, I tried Leatherique for the 1st time over this holiday weekend. I did as instructed massaged the "oil" in a few times, covered with a large trash bag and put the car in the sun. I left the oil on for a total of 24 hours (not all of it in the sun). Last night a sprayed on the Leatherique...
