I use a 849x as well and love it. What size were your pads? Reason I ask is it for me thin 5.5" CCS pads are really grabby, but the thicker 6.5" pads are much easier to control. I've tried the HT, Flat, CCS and MF pads. I've recently switched to 5.5" hex logic pads w/ a 5" Flex backing plate...

Does Glossworkz contain any protection? I'm assuming little to none. So if that's right, what is everyone using for protection over Glossworkz. I understand what "glaze" does, but with so much importance being placed on "prepping" the paint so (insert your favorite wax/sealant) will bond better...

Hey guys thanks for all the help. Just to update: first thing I tried was googone, didn't touch it. Then on to APC+ 10:1, then 4:1. I even put some Royal Brown in a test spot and all seemed good so I proceeded to try that, nada. A couple other things... Amazing Roll Off, nope. Finally WD40...

it's like an extremely thin layer of aluminum foil flaked off and kinda melded (<is that a word?) on the dash... no thickness to it at all when touching it. I was thinking steam wouldn't be the best either as I feel the heat (sun) is what got it so bad to begin with. Was thinking APC+ 10:1 or...

I've got a customer who used one of those foil looking heat reflectors between the dash and windshield. The one that you use to "keep your car cool" while parked in the sun. On part of the dash it looks like some of the foil transfered to the dash. Dash is a cushioned vinyl. I haven't tried...

I'm going to throw my vote in for Optimum GPS. This stuff amazes me. More aggressive pad for pretty decent correcting and less aggressive pad for finishing. The protection in it is pretty good already so for the price you're charging I'd use GPS and skip the Opti Seal. If you're going to use...

If you have access to a DA I would IronX, clay and finally apply Optimum GPS (I love this stuff!) with a DA and any marring that you might have got will be polished out w/ the GPS while at the same time protecting the paint. Keep the clay well lubed and fold it often. That's what I would do, but...

For me I feel it's slightly more aggressive than an LC orange, but much easier to use. I'd say it finishes out about the same as the orange. I've only used the MF w/ M105... never tried to get it to finish out any better using a polish as I just switch to a white (or softer) foam.

I use and love the LC rotary MF pads, but never used wool to compare it to. I'd like to know too.
