I agree with this. Compared to my PC, the 3401 is just as loud. I think the 3401 is more of a higher pitched sound though.

You're not alone. I've got a whole bottle of BL I don't know what to do with. I've been trying to convince myself how great it is, but I prefer proper prep and a nice long last sealant such as Menz PL or WGDGPS. I do like V7 as a quick detailer that adds some protection. All just my opinion :)

Are you sure it's holograms and not just streaks? EDIT: Could it just be swirls that were there before and just more noticeable now that the paint is clean?

Totally agree. I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on my personal vehicle. Within a week and half to two weeks the slickness is totally gone, but to this day (just over four months later) the water is beading like crazy with the rain we got today... tight beads.

Really? What about the smaller 15 backing plate on the 21? Do you think the orbit would be too large for the 5.5" pads?

If you want to buy one from Kevin Brown, shoot him an email and ask him. I don't want to speak on his behalf in case anything has changed and I don't want to put words in someones mouth, but I think you would be totally happy with his answer.

I think it's fairly easy to understand the point he is trying to make with his reviews. :dunno: I really appreciate TrKent's efforts to share his findings with everyone!

Can you tell more about your Positector? Is that the one that can measure individual layers such as primer thickness, base coat thickness and clear thickness all separately?

When I talked to Kevin, he said the 5" RUPES backing plate from the 15 would work on the 21. I'm going to get the 21 and just get the smaller backing plate to go with it.

Thanks! Can you explain this one? Tell me if I'm understanding this right... As an example: If I got a 125 gallon tank, the pressure will not be any different if it's got 25 gallons water or 100 gallons of water?

Just wanted to post an update. I never did get the Karcher. I got a deal on a brand new Generac 2700PSI 2.3GPM that had some pretty good reviews online. $150 off of Craigslist and it had never even had oil or gas in it. The Instructions specifically state to have a source w/ at least 30psi. I...

The PE14 and the 849x both have good and bad things about them and in the end for me they both accomplish the same thing. I don't need two rotaries so yeah I'd be willing to sell either one. If you really are interested just PM me. :) Ha! Quite the upgrade there! :xyxthumbs:
