Presidential Detailed: 996 Turbo, E55 AMG, SL55 AMG, EVO X

Next up was another AMG car, this time an E55. We only performed a 2-step on this vehicle since most of our focus was going to be on the owners Porsche(wait till you see this thing) and we had a limited time schedule. The car was already clean, so we did a quick ONR wash the night before and...

While I got to prepping Brian once again took care of the interior, engine, door shuts, rain channels with Z-AIO, treated the seals with Gummi Pledge and polished the exhaust tips. Remember before? After. We were on a bit of a time crunch and I had a hard time reminding Brian to take...

Presidential Detailed: 996 Turbo, E55 AMG, SL55 AMG, EVO X

Next up we had a beautiful red SL55 AMG. I have been getting a lot of AMG cars lately they are always fun to work on! You gotta love the grumble of the motors coming out of a luxury car like these! This body onone was not exceptionally dirty, but it has some pretty severe scratches that the red...

After two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant. 1st coat left to cure overnight and second coat applied the next morning. If you thought 1 coat looked good, try two or three!

As you can see here, its a very different color. This is after correction. After getting into the paint, I noticed that most of the swirls were being removed but there were quite a bit of RIDS throughout as well. I thought for sure the rotary was going to be the winner. But I have laterly...

Presidential Detailed: 996 Turbo, E55 AMG, SL55 AMG, EVO X

Once the wash was completed, we could see the true finish of the paint. The EVO has pretty soft paint, which may explain how this many swirls were induced in the short life span that its had(under 7k miles old). The engine bay was also quite dirty, so Brian got to work on that while I...

I recently made a trip out to West Palm Beach to take care of a few clients. I was lucky enough to work on these amazing cars and had a great time doing so! I spent 6 days with a friends day and we put in almost 60 hours that week EACH! I wouldn't have been able to do it without my friend...

Presidential Detailed: Freshly painted EG, almost ruined by a hackjob.

I use the 105 via rotary and 205 via DA. 105 is still dusty on a DA if you really work it, but its expected with a compound. 205 stays very wet so it doesnt hardly dust at all if any.

No but it is a liquid sealant. I find it to work best by using a DA on a very fine finishing pad.

Driver Rear 1/4. After M105. here you find the difference between my very aggressive cutting stage on the rear 1/4 next to whatever the heck this guy did. Driver Door After M105. Driver Fender Before. After M105. No more swirls, just LOTS of dust! Finally starting to see some depth...

Presidential Detailed: Freshly painted EG, almost ruined by a hackjob.

Knowing that I am going to have to cut into this thing pretty hard to get the sanding marks out I pulled out my Meguiars Red Wool Pad and began to prime it using the KBRM for fast hard cutting results. This combination is VERY aggressive and wouldnt recommend it to anyone without proper...

A quick walk around the car with halogens really lets you see how bad this thing looked in person. Once again, remember this is a BRAND NEW paint job!! A close up of the sanding scratches that werent fully removed.
