Any recommendations on applying M37 paint coating V2?

What are these "Saver" applicators you mention...I am using MFs for eyeglasses, wrapped around semi stiff foam used in packing. Eric Never mind...googled it.

Any recommendations on applying M37 paint coating V2?

Ditto on the dropper technique...first time I did this, the slightest breeze made the spray go everywhere it wasn't supposed to. Other than that it was easy enough, even for me to apply it. Eric

    Are "love marks" inevitable??

I like hearing "I don't know how it got there...I didn't put anything on the hood!". OCD is NOT fun. ;) Eric

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I'm dying here in greater NYC (Queens)...My hands almost fell off doing a rinseless on my daughter's Tiguan last weekend. Jeez, when they switch the clocks, it is supposed to get warmer ;) Eric

Affordable hand held light for finding coating high spots?

Thanks for that...no mention of K's, but lumen output is mentioned. Regular = 320 Lumens Spotlight = 120 Lumens Good/smart features on this one. Only Lights I have with a magnetic base are lanterns, not flashlights per se. Eric

cobra...thanks much for your experience with the product...after I run out of my Tuf Shoine, I think I will give this a shot. Eric

Affordable hand held light for finding coating high spots?

Does anyone know off the top of their heads around how many lumens and at what color range (in K) these are? I'm also a camper, and boy, I don't think I could justify hearing the "how many flashlights do you need?" question. ;) Eric

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

Just as an FYI...I asked via email whether the TPC was similar to Tuf Shine in nature, and I received a prompt response from Ronald Doyle. He said that he was not familiar with Tuf Shine, and that they do not test or compare their products with others on the market. He suggested reading user...

    Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

Isn't Adams Tire Armor the same (or close) to Tuf Shine? That's what these two read like on the descriptions (funny though, that both of these mentioned go on "blue", while Tuf Shine is an off white).

I will be watching this thread also. Please do let us know. Cheaper alternative than Tuf Shine, which is the one thing that I don't like about that product. Eric

3D ONE HYBRID COMPOUND & POLISH in one Ask us anything!

Does anyone know the shelf life of 3D One off the top of their heads? Also, I have storage concerns, since my garage is not heated. Is it an issue if it goes through freezing temps? TIA...Eric

Stubborn Brake Dust on factory wheels

ummm..with pushing two kids now through college, I have to, ehhh, space out my delivery packages, if you get my drift;) Will keep an eye out for sales on this stuff. Problem I have is shelf life with products, since I only take care of the family's cars (I have a couple of bottles of McKee's...

Stubborn Brake Dust on factory wheels

Damn...I envy the arsenals that most of you have, compared to mine. :awman: Definitely worth a shot, to avoid the repaint. Depends on how deep the dust went, and what you're willing to live with, I guess. Eric P.S. I have used a Dremel with a polishing bit on my wheels in the past also, with...

Stubborn Brake Dust on factory wheels

I would try claying first. Don't think any solvent would work, if I remember correctly, but I would then try something like 3M adhesive remover. If no help, polishing is the only thing I would try next, just be careful, since it's right along the crease, and very easy to knock off the clearcoat...

Has Anyone Used Aquawax on top of McKee's Paint Coating as a Drying Aid?

Just an FYI from my experience... All 3 of my cars have McKee's 37 coating, and I do use Aquawax as my drying aid. Works pretty well in my "unprofessional" opinion. Eric
