Getting polish out of tiny crevices

Thanks again everyone. Had good success with a toothbrush today. First tried some QD with the toothbrush which worked decently, then Eraser and that hit the spot. Got 95% of the dried polish to loosen up and a quick rinse took care of that. :)

I'm going to give it a go with a tooth brush tomorrow. First with some QD, if that fails then some MS. Big thank you to everyone here for the tips and tricks.

Getting polish out of tiny crevices

I painted my wheel center caps a couple weeks ago, and today gave them a quick wet sand and hit them with some M105. Even after cleaning with CarPro Eraser, a good amount of polish remains in the tiny space between the face of the cap and the outer ring. It's actually quite the eye sore despite...

Removing Opti Gloss Coat for spring detail

I applied OGC last spring and strongly believe I applied too little on several sections. This spring I will redo the entire process but want to know if I need to concentrate on removing the remaining OGC FIRST (polishing) or go about the full detail in the normal order (wash - decontaminate -...

    Microfiber washing: Vinegar/baking soda?

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I've already learned a lot reading through them. My main concern here is care for MF towels that appear to be holding some detergent residue and are no longer performing as they should. I just got a wash started and will add some vinegar for the rinse...

    Microfiber washing: Vinegar/baking soda?

Recently I've noticed some streaking on my windshield that is obviously from my hand cleaning of it. I use my Meg's Supreme Shine yellow towels with either Invisible Glass or Meg's Glass Cleaner. It's not the cleaner. It's gotta be something in the towels. I've had some of these towels for 2+...

Just wanted to update with some photos of the wheels mounted. I got the wheels from another VW guy lightly used, and they were in gorgeous conditions minus some swirls that you'd expect. After a good decon, light polish, and application of Opti Gloss Coat, words can't describe how much these...

Thanks man, it's been rough. My friends in Lindenhurst said the snow actually wasn't that horrible there this year so I guess you were due! Hey man I was just in Cuse to see a concert at the Lost Horizon, I don't know how you run bagged with those roads but it looks amazing :xyxthumbs...

    Noob with some noob questions!

Thanks octane. I wonder if anyone else has had any experience with reusing the syringe and how long in between uses (weeks, months?) they were able to successfully do so.

Thanks Mike! I have Eibach lowering springs installed already, at about a 1 finger gap all around. I find it to be a great combination for looks and driveability. It's also great because they're fully compatible with my stock struts and shocks! Certainly not slammed, but compared to the SUV gap...

    Noob with some noob questions!

I got some new products this year, and in preparation for my big spring detail, I have some questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to help! Optimum gloss coat: 1. My summer wheels are off the car right now and I'd love to get them coated first, but it may be a week or more before I do...

Hello autogeek! My name is Greg. I'm 29 years old and live in Albany, NY. I've lived my whole life in upstate NY, so as a car enthusiast, I'm plenty used to being a loner. After purchasing my latest car, a MK6 VW GTI, I joined an online community based around it, and have loved connecting with...
