What is your goal? I've never attended their classes, but they appear to be aimed at production detailing vs high end paint correction.

I typically just blow a car off with the air compressor. I will use a 10% IPA wipe down before a jeweling step only to make sure I do not introduce any dust or foreign substance that may be left on the paint or in body panel joint into this step, but I seldom do jeweling.

I'm tempted to cut down some of the 5.5". I was just using pink pads last weekend and was wishing I had some 4".

Jeweling is a debated term we use. It is accomplished by taking an ultra soft pad (gold) and an ultra fine polish (SF4500) to get the last bit of shine out of paint. You start by running at a hi speed to break the polish down and finish at a slower speed with very little pressure for that...

Thanks. As for the pads, I was using 6.5", most of my 5.5" pads were drying from a couple recent jobs, so I reached back on the shelf and pulled the 6.5" pads out. The work pretty good with the Flex anyway, would have been a little easier to control with the 5.5".
