Own a classic...but at what price?!

AGREE! Don't put too much weight on your belief that these cars will be considered a classic. Very few collector cars/classics overcome high mileage, especially for cars that have multiple year runs. It's a little different if you are dealing with a single year model like a 63 corvette, or a...

    Vinyl Decals

I'm guessing it was a rotary. The dealership detailer did the damage and the car was traided between 2 different dealerships so it's hard to say who did it and what their process was. After that experience, I won't go close to those things with any type of a buffer, rotary or DA, in my...

    Newbie To Detailing need guidance

I don't use waterless washes or most of the other products/processes you are asking about, but I would read the following thread when it comes to caring for your decals. Never heard of any issues washing them, but there are different opinions on other processes...

Crap, I hadn't even looked at that, why did you have to point it out? I was 6 behind him and ironically enough, I was welcoming a new member too..even more ironic, a new member from 2007. Must have been another one he bumped. LOL!

How to dress for detail work?

Waterproof shoes with good support. Nice if you can put down a rubber non-slip mat as well. Don't ever underestimate the long term effects of good shoes and a padded floor.

How to dress for detail work?

I tend to wear Armani, it's really soft and doesn't scratch the paint...okay, maybe it's just a pair of soft cotton sweats and a plain t-shirt, but the two are easily confused for Armani.

    Long Term Project

Thanks...that is the one decision that caused gray hairs. Have you ever looked at how many different shades of red there are? I had the perfect color 6 different times. Almost changed it again before it was sprayed, then just gave in. Glad I did.
