    Coating High Spots

Thanks guys. I'm already feeling better about things but it was a real downer to see after how much time I put in that I completely screwed up the coating application. Lesson learned at least. I'll come back to it next week after I order another bottle of Mohs Evo and see how the spot correction...

    Coating High Spots

Over the past 10 day's after work I've been spending a few hours every evening fully correcting and getting my Dad's car ready to apply Gyeon Mohs Evo while he was away on vacation as a Father's Day present. I finally finished up last night while it was dark and only today after work I was able...

Pulling the Trigger on the New G9-Which Pads?

I've had great experiences with Rupes white and yellow pads as well as Buff and Shine Uro-fiber pads. The Rupes yellow is a great one step pad for soft paints or as a finishing pad on medium to hard paint. The Uro-fiber pads are fantastic one step pads paired with the right on polish on medium...

    Detail-Division

I bought a Carbon Collective bucket organizer from them a little over a year ago. Item shipped quickly and was well packaged. The owner also wrote me a hand written thank you note which was a very nice touch.

    Tire Dressing Applicators

Well I'm happy to be wrong. The applicators were so compressed due to the vacuum sealing that it only looked like two were missing. They've been out on a table expanding for the last couple of hours and to my surprise all 6 are there.

    Spray Sealants - 3-6 months

Yup, that's a big part of why I'm not buying any more PA and likely Kamikaze products again. Nice stuff but just exceedingly overpriced for what they are and all the other stuff out there. The SiRamik stuff is a lot like Armor Detailing but in the UK.

    Spray Sealants - 3-6 months

It's not available in the US but SiRamik's Lustrous Plus Graphene Spray is on par with full coatings when it comes to water behavior, self cleaning, chemical resistance, gloss, and realistic 8-12 month durability (based on other's testimony). I contacted the seller through Facebook and imported...

    Tire Dressing Applicators

Mine arrived today with a bit of an issue. They come in a plastic bag inside of another thicker plastic bag and the whole thing is then vacuum sealed. Someone at the factory ripped open the inside bag, took 2 of the 6 applicators out, and then vacuumed sealed the whole thing. Replacements...

    Tire Dressing Applicators

I did a little searching and found them on Amazon item#B08C73BRLK for a 6 pack but you can get a 3 pack for $3 less. I'll be buying a 6 pack since it's a better value, and they also come in a black, blue, and red version to help differentiate which applicator is for which tire dressing. The...

Has anyone used Aenso's or Pure:est's tire dressings?

    Tire Dressing Applicators

My favorites are the Tuff Shine Tire Applicator, knockoff Carscope Tire Dressing Brush from Amazon (another repurposed makeup brush), and the CarPro Tire Swipe Applicator v2. The Carpro is the least used as the other two are just much better.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I finished the mechanical decontamination of my Dad's Merc C300 with a Nanoskin Autoscrub Fine and Carpro Polyshave towel. After I got some dinner I did a test spot on the hood with my new Hercules Forced Rotation polisher, Scholl S20 Black, and Buff n Shine Uru-Fiber pads. I did four passes and...

    Dr Beasley’s Bead Hero

I have not. I'm set for the next couple of years with SiRamik Lustrous Plus Graphene because the performance, slickness, and gloss are insanely good. My car had it's first wash a couple of weeks ago and the water behavior is full blown coating level. I'll try to get some pictures next time I...

    The Tire Cleaning Comparison Thread

Thanks again for another great comparison. I've never bought a dedicated tire cleaner but I have found Carpro Multi X at 5:1 to be excellent and Optimum Power Clean used neat (never tried it diluted) is extremely good (foams up really well too). I do have Brake Buster but stopped using it after...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

While my Dad is away on vacation in Fiji for two weeks I'm going to do a full wash, decon, polish, and apply Gyeon Mohs EVO to his 2015 Merc C300 as a Father's Day surprise. The paint is in really rough shape. Some damage left by a hack job of a body shop/detailer who repaired the front...

    The Tire Dressing Comparison Thread

Thanks for putting this together. A very interesting comparison. I've only tried Gyeon Q2 and NV Onyx. The Gyeon has been my go to for a couple of years because I like a slightly glossier look. NV Onyx has a much better user experience but it only lasts a week or two on my Vredestein tires...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The one time I chose a close parking spot at a Walmart my car got a dent in it. Never again! From now on I always make sure to park far'ish away or, like I usually do, shop anywhere else. Walmart is a last resort for me if Price Chopper, Target, Tops, Wegmans, or whichever auto parts store...

    HF going after the 3401

I bought of these last week but have not had a chance to use it yet. I did swap the stock 6in backing plate for the Flex mini backing plate and it fits perfectly. The tool feels solid and isn't noticeably louder than my Rupes Duetto or Adam's 3in mini polisher.

I will definitely consider doing that.

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I bought one of these myself tonight. I took off the stock backing plate and it looks like the Flex mini backing plate will be a direct fit. I'm going to order one and see if it does actually fit once I get back from vacation in about two weeks.
