How to take slight scratches off wood trim interior?

You will be fine buffing it with a compound. The polyurethane finish is pretty tough. I have buffed out a lot of conference tables at work with a Makita and some 3M.

    Dash cleaner/undercarriage/ drying towels

I use them. The yellow ones from Costco. They work great for cleaning inside. Just wash them a couple of times first. Mine would leave yellow lint behind until I laundered them. If you are worried about scratching the plastic, just saturate them with your APC first.

Going back and checking what size they are, I discovered that I actually have two Dry Me Crazy (25" x 17") towels. Sorry for the confusion!

Welcome! Best advice is not to buy too much stuff when you first start. Buy some basic stuff and give it a go, then see what you need/want later. The 3D line gets some great reviews, and their prices are good. I just picked up some 3D AAT finishing polish. I can't wait to get the time to try it...

    Dash cleaner/undercarriage/ drying towels

I can dry my Tundra with 2 dry me a river towels. They soak up a ton of water, and leave it completely dry.

Left with scratch marks after wet sanding boat.

How do you buff the parts of the boat that the trailer is in the way of? Just curios because I plan on buffing out my old boat this summer.

    Thieves Strike Again!!

I would definitely file a police report. You never know if there might be a camera facing the street from a near by business. Chances are they were not of foot, and the cops could get a plate number from their get away car. They probably stole a lot of stuff, and would need a car to haul it off.

Has anyone removed dried tree sap severals weeks after without visible signs of damage to clear coat?

Not sure about how it will effect your opti-coat, but my GF hardly ever cleans her car, and gets tree sap on it all the time. I use goof off from a big box store, and it cleans up nice even after months of being on there. It does need a good wash to get the goof off residue off the car though.

    Water Softener/spotless system

Wish I could help, but I haven't used one. The only thing I have heard about them is that you go through a lot of cartridges(or maybe it was the price of the cartridges), which makes them cost prohibitive for many people. If you do end up getting one, please let us know how you like it.

I have only refrained from posting anything on these type of article/posts by Mike, because I felt that I couldn't add anything beneficial to them. In the future I will, even if it is just to say thanks for all the info I learned. Thanks again Mike!!

    Best towel for drying

You just have to hang it up to dry, but trust me for a car you would only need one to dry it completely. ***this is in reference to the dry me a river towels

    Best towel for drying

1+ on the dry me a river!! I have two of them, and one can almost dry my Toyota Tundra. They soak up a lot of water, and they are super soft!! Only downside is that you can't wring them out, so if you have a large vehicle you might need two.
