    New Car

Just my 2 cents, but it seems like a lot of the thorough processes outlined by people in this thread may be a bit overkill for this guys need. It's a honda accord that I'd assume is his daily driver and he hasn't detailed his prior two cars. I'm pretty sure a clay and paint sealant/wax will...

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

Guys, I get the coating concept and agree with you, but I am content with the wolfgang sealant I just put on. My questions have been answered and product decisions completed. If anyone has questions about my experience with it, feel free to ask. Otherwise, I think we can add this one to the...

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

"Removing McKee's 37 Paint Coating without physically abrading it is virtually impossible." <-- This makes me uncomfortable. I get the advantages, but I'm just not comfortable with coatings yet. I like knowing that if I mess something up and/or something doesn't go well with the product...

How to use the Harbor Freight Polisher to remove swirls and scratches

I think you made a typo in the title. It's supposed to be 'How to use the Harbor Freight Polisher to CREATE swirls and scratches' ;)

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

Coatings weird me out. The process seems a bit too involved and easy to mess up, yet hard to remove/correct. I do oddly enjoy doing this, just not every month as needed with a wax or to the extent that I want to purchase curing lights as with a coating. This sealant seems to hit the sweet...

    Britemax Pure Max

Is there really a difference between 'good' soaps? I've used a bad soap before... ahem... armor all, that didn't really seem like it was a soap at all and didn't get the car clean. As far as 'good' soaps go, I've never experienced one that made me think - wow, this soap sure is better than...

I'd sign this one quick. I've not been on here long, but already it's pretty clear that Bob is always right.

    New Car

You should definitely clay it and put a wax or sealant on. A cleaner/all in one may not be necessary on a brand new car if clayed though. I used to think claying a new car was silly until I started doing it. All of my cars have needed claying more at purchase than any other time of...

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

I put on the wolfgang this weekend. I may add photos later, but I don't think they will show anything definitive as my before, in between, and afters all look the same. Good paint never looks bad in photos as long as it's clean. I washed the car, clayed, washed again to remove any residue...

    Tools of the Trade (Humor)

I laughed out loud a bit after the Phillips Screwdriver.... Not sure if it was built up from all of them or if it was just that funny. As the name implies, to round off Phillips screw heads :)

    paint film install gone wrong

I've lost all patience for stuff like this. What I have learned from having a few experiences like this is... 1) Do not let these guys touch your car again. They will just waste your time and make the problem worse. They will also be more reluctant to compensate you as they will have sunk...

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

It seems fairly unanimous then that I should just do two coats of wolfgang and call it a day. I will give that a try and see how I like it. Will worry about wax later if I am not pleased, but so far I've not heard anyone unhappy with that stuff so I'm optimistic.

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

I know, this is the amazing part. I wish I could take credit for it or even explain it, but I bought the car CPO and it was already like that. It was owned in a less populated area of southern california, so if it was garaged it would be possible that it had very little outdoor/weather...

Best bang for buck wax on the market?

Bob, I'm leaning towards your recommendation of just putting a second coat of wolfgang sealant on and seeing how that goes first. Still open to a finishing wax, though I'm not as concerned with price just shine and longevity.

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

Ok, #1 is decided. I've determined from your feedback and this article I was reading on autopia that I will use the polish enhancer.

What should I use to clean and protect interior leather and panels?

I recently tried out the Pinnacle Black Label leather cleaner and conditioner and it was astounding. Cleaner was a bit light, but if the car is in very good shape it is probably best to use a light cleaner. The conditioner worked perfectly, making it simply look/feel like new without any extra...

Wolgang sealant on perfect paint. Should I use polish enhancer and top with wax?

Thanks Bob The polish enhancer is described as a kind of cleaner/prep for the sealant as well as enhancing the appearance. I want to be sure the sealant has a clean surface to adhere to properly, but maybe the clay bar handles that sufficiently?
