Attn. Rupes Updated Cyclo in the works?

I've never quite understood the comments about the Cyclos weight... It's within about 1 pound of pretty much every other full sized polisher on the market. I know the perception is that with a cast housing it's heavy, but in reality it's not. For reference the LHR21ES is 5.73lbs... The Cyclo...

    Noise At Low Speed

Not a problem and sorry I wasn't faster getting back to you. SEMA had me fairly distracted last week. Glad to hear the noise is gone... if you ever need anything else don't hesitate to ask.

Rupes 21 -vs- Rupes 21 Mark II

Heard this comment and similar quite a bit at SEMA. Very few people disliked the Bigfoot as it was, but with anything there is always small changes that can be made to improve the user experience or performance. I like to say that the Mark II release is EVOLUTIONARY not REVOLUTIONARY. We simply...

Attn. Rupes Updated Cyclo in the works?

To quote myself in another thread: Same can be said for the Cyclo. Since the acquisition the RUPES team has been playing with the Cyclo... you can be eventually there will almost certainly be a new version - our engineering team is never satisfied. When that might happen, no set date or...

    RUPES 75e Mark II?

RUPES is a company that is constantly testing, evaluating, and looking at ways to improve product performance. When the Mark II of the 15 and 21 hit the market you can bet research on the Mark III will already be underway. That being said - there is no imminent release of an updated 75E...

The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

Todd - phenomenal writeup per usual. As I mentioned many times at the booth today: motorcycles are not my thing, but this one is drop dead sexy and you guys did a hell of a job bringing this one up to the RUPES standard of shine. Certainly was a focal point for many people in the booth. For...

Lake Country ThinPro Foam Pad System

BINGO! Reticulated and non-reticulated foam structures. Could also be referred to as a partially reticulated foam.

Rupes 21 -vs- Rupes 21 Mark II

Not necessarily a true statement, read this: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/rupes-bigfoot-polishers/96321-power-vs-consumption-why-bigger-isn-t-always-better.html More accurately we redesigned the motor to operate more efficiently. A lot depends on the severity of the curve, but I will...

    Police cars detail

I used to have a contract cleaning a fleet of county sheriffs vehicles, including 2 helicopters, and a couple of larger tactical vehicles. Don't be afraid to bid the job at a rate that makes it worth your while. They will have a budget for these things and I found that (at least with my...

Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

Lets conduct ourselves like professionals, please. There is absolutely no reason to drag this down with bickering and name calling.

Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

Not the same motor, a different motor with the same capacity for consumption. There is a difference.

Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

Now we're talking. Years ago, in what seems like a lifetime, I worked designing, selling, and installing high end AV systems. The number of multi-million dollar theaters we'd walk into and see a gross overuse of power for no reason was astounding. We'd replace some of the huge bulky cabinets...

Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

30% is the "official" number... with the 15mm tool though the increase will be more (probably closer to Todd's 40%) and this is simply b/c the LHR15 in the US was always a little detuned from its european counterpart, so the jump forward in MKII is larger, if that makes sense.

    Non Modded Free Spin?

Expanding on this a little... a short term home remedy is to use petroleum jelly. Not high tech and will require more frequent application, but it does work and you probably already have some in the house. with the dielectric grease I would recommend non-silicone versions if the use of the...

Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

Bigger is better, except when it isn’t. When it comes to horsepower, bench press numbers, and the size of the fish you just landed a bigger number is better. However, when it comes to cholesterol numbers or the amount of fuel your car burns to get down the road, many of us would agree that less...

Rupes 21 -vs- Rupes 21 Mark II

I won't answer for Mike, but add how I've been responding to that question: The Mark II requires the operator to employ less specific technique to eliminate rotation stall. Obviously there are those out there with the original tool that have been able to overcome the stall with technique. The...
