What are the REAL benefits of a long throw polisher?

Not to talk anyone out of a Duetto, but with the 15ES coming down in price after the release of the 15 Mark II they're now the same price - the real justification for a Duetto is what its intended purpose is: A polisher thats also highly effective as a sander. Not everyone needs that capability...

What are the REAL benefits of a long throw polisher?

The short and simple answer - a long throw polisher can accomplish higher levels of correction in less time than a traditional small orbit polisher (PC or similar) and does so without the need for extremely high speeds, forced rotation, etc. I think what you're trying to get to the root of is...

Rupes Bigfoot Nano (iBrid) is available for Pre-Order!!!

As best I can I will... distributors will be getting their allocations in the order they placed their requests, so hurdle one is getting them here to the US, hurdle 2 is dividing them up amongst the distributors who pre-ordered. If you guys knew the quantity of these that was requested worldwide...

Rupes Bigfoot Nano (iBrid) is available for Pre-Order!!!

The challenge of trans-atlantic shipping of tools is the black hole things go into when they're between Europe and here and the subsequent handling by customs that can be short or long (depending on their mood). The best answer we can provide now is that some of the tools will be arriving soon...

    rupes pads are breaking down

Sorry to hear about the issue with the pads - I've mentioned in other threads that we've noticed the phenomena with the use of some chemicals (polish or post use cleaners) that contain solvents. Mind asking what compounds you were working with when you had the pads begin to fail on you?

? for Todd or Dylan about the washer mod

YES! Excellent point. Every so often put a few drops of dielectric grease (or a dab of vasoline if you don't have the grease on hand) on the backing plate and spin it a few times by hand. This will prevent the shroud from binding or wearing away prematurely. Its especially important if you...

? for Todd or Dylan about the washer mod

The shroud is there as an 'anti-spin' device. It serves a few functions as it has been explained by the engineers in Italy. a) RPM and safety concerns - certainly none of us are free spinning our machines in open air, but reducing the RPM of the plate is a safety feature to prevent foams and...

Cannot understand why i havent got ANY BUSINESS

I'll lend a few suggestions here as someone who has started, operated, and sold detail businesses (with some success) twice before entering into the manufacturer/supplier side of the business. First things to think about is your approach to the market - certainly FB ads, listing on CL, flyers...

The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

I can't speak for Larry, but the approach as I would have used it (and understood him to use it) is he was sanding in a VERY tiny area, smaller than the nano to limit how much sanding was needed, then the slightly larger pad size of the Nano polished the sanded area and the surrounding paint to...

    Nano uses

An interesting phenomena happened when we first pulled the wraps off the Nano at SEMA - people were coming up with uses we hadn't even thought of, so we're taking the stance that we'll give you some basic ideas but the market will tell us what the Nano does and I'm sure you'll find almost...

Rupes Bigfoot Nano (iBrid) is available for Pre-Order!!!

To clarify - there is absolutely NOTHING different about the two tools and what they do with the pads or what pads they use. Literally its just long or short neck, everything else about the 2 of them is identical. Same RPM, same accessories included in the kit, same pads... everything. They both...

    Flex PE8 vs Rupes Mini

Any particular aversion to picking up the LHR75E from us? Seems if there isn't a competitive tool available in the DA segment then the decision is all but made for you right?

The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

Autogeek is accepting preorders at Detail Fest... I've personally assisted in dozens of them already. Aside from whats happening at the event not sure what the preorder plans are - probably best for a member of AG staff to answer when you'll be able to preorder online.

Hope to see a lot of you at the DF - the Nano, in both short and long versions will be there for you to try for yourself along with a couple motorcycles and one of our (in)famous Fiat 500 demo cars that you can try them on to really see what it can do... and of course we'll be happy to talk to...

The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

If such an event existed there might be a good chance free things would be included with these orders - hypothetically speaking of course.

The Next REVOLUTION: The BigFoot Nano w/ iBrid Technology

Hmmm... if only there were an event of some kind, in the not to distant future, centered around detailing. A large festival where we could let people use the nano and place orders for them. Hmmmmm... if only such an event existed. ;)

    rupes mark ii sale?

Would love to know which sites you're referring to - all our tools are MAP protected so anyone violating that would either be at risk of losing their distribution rights or were never authorized dealers to begin with. Autogeek respects and abides by our policies which is one of the many...
